I had no idea what to expect when we arrived, but was enchanted from beginning to end of our stay. The hotel is lovely, the views are spectacular, the service is top rate/friendly/wonderful, the food is fantastic. I was spoiled staying here and only wish I could find a place this affordable and wonderful in the US. Wow. If you...

Just the perfect place to stay if you want to visit Gisenyi. Nice location though it's a little bit south from town - you can go for a walk, see the harbor, brewery, hotsprings and local life. Lovely rooms which were very clean, had a fantastic breakfast - felt like we were all alone in the middle of paradise -,...

That's what it looks like looking out over the water from the shore at Malahide Paradis. The water and sky blend together... Enjoy the views from the lounges on the shore or the lawn. The water is fine and strangely boyant. We spent 2 nights here. The bungalows are very nice and comfortable. Great mattresses. Lovely stone showers, plenty of...

Wish we had stayed longer! We had a room facing the lake, comfortable, clean beds, stone shower, and lovely porch to watch the waves. The food was very good, outdoor amongst the gardens. We had the best hamburgers we have eaten in Africa! Dinner was near the cozy fire, and as we settled, a dance performance began. Staff were helpful...

We stayed here for two days in early June (2013) and thought it was great. Very clean, our individual rondeval opened onto a view of Lake Kivu, and we fell asleep waking up to the gentle sound of waves against the shore just a few feet from our door. The Internet worked well in both the lounge and in our...

During the last weekend of 14-16th I was in Gisenyi for a trip of 3 days with my tourists. We have been received well and have a very nice services from Paradis Malahide. But the special one we had our lunch in Akeza Iland, just in Lake Kivu. We were coming from our visit to Imbabazi Center where we met...

Stayed here June 16th 2013. A nice location but didn't find things quite as good as other contributors. Perhaps because I travelled by public transport and was somewhat dismayed by the the dismal town centre of Gisenyi where I had first sought accommodation. The banda type room was v.nice but has been mentioned by others staff were always glancing from...

Stayed at Paradis Malahide for just one night but wish I'd planned more time for stopping over here. Set on the banks of Lake Kivu in well kept gardens, managed but not overly. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable. The staff and owner really friendly, welcoming and helpful. We ate dinner inside and enjoyed the warmth of the open...

What a delightful hotel and place. Lake Kivu is beautiful, and the hotel does a great job taking advantage of and improving that natural beauty. Their garden (where I ate) is intricate and has all of these nooks and crannies nestled along the water, which let you have a different private and charming table each time you sit. The food...

I stayed here one night after going gorilla trekking. The food was delicious here! I second another reviewer's recommendation to order tilapia cooked over coal, so fresh and meaty! Breakfast was yummy as well (pancake was more like crepe). I used the canoe to paddle around a bit, that was kind of fun. The downside was that my bathroom's shower...
