Along with my family I would like to thank Amani Tiwi staff for a great time and share some of my experiences. Location: Amani Tiwi has a naturally beautiful, perfectly picturesque and a very peaceful location. It is a great place for unwinding, relaxing and sun tanning. Just imagine a spacious and clean sandy beach, tall coconut palms casting a welcome shade on lounge chairs and hammocks hanging between the trees, and all that with the background of soothing sound of ocean waves. True paradise in the Kwale county. People: Very friendly customer service, great waiters (Kelvin and Simon). Excellent entertainment provided by the amazing Animation Team: volleyball on the beach, polo in the water, aqua aerobics, yoga and all the extra activities all day long. Special thanks to Amani (Ishmael) and Gaga (Khamis) for their performances, their love of music, dance, acrobatics … and humor (guys, dream big and keep your dreams alive!!!). Thank you to Robert and Charlie as well. Beach Boys: I loved the exposure to the friendly locals frequenting the beach and at the same time respectfully keeping distance from the resort’s area. Although the reason they are there is to sell their services or products and make some much needed money, you can easily engage them in a very frank and truthful conversation about their lives. But … watch out!!! They might know some words and expressions in your language 😃. Your conversation may turn out quit funny … or … not so much … lol. Their stories gave me some basic understanding of the very poor standard of their lives and no much hope for better future. This prompted me to make my own research on the social and economic situation in Kenya. Thank you Beach Boys!!! Food: good variety at each meal. Delicious and interesting traditional food; goat meat, coconut rice, variety of flat breads and the amazing mandazi doughnuts. Monkeys: I am sure they are a nuisance to the resort and staff, but the family of monkeys was a great entertainment to me, and I am sure to other guests as well … it seemed though they liked the doughnuts even more than me … lol. Although I truly enjoyed the stay, I would like to suggest a few things if I may; • Better access to beach towels. There was no towel kiosk at the beach and not enough clean towels in general • Room updates and renovations. Outdated bathrooms and flooding showers. The entire facility uplift and maintenance needed in general • Improvement to the WiFi service • More bar staff for better and faster service, especially in the evenings Overall, the location, the people and the service was great, and I will definitely recommend the resort to others. In closing, understanding the unjust enrichment and unfair labour practices in Kenya, I would like to thank the Amani Tiwi staff and praise them for their smiling faces and making sure our stay was as great and enjoyable as possible. ASANTE SANA!!!…
We loved every bit of our stay. The hotel is beautiful, clean rooms.Large swimming pool and access to private beach. The food with daily themes and variety was so tasty.Daily evening entertainment and the staff were very helpful and caring to make sure our stay was pleasant.
Absolutely beautiful resort, very well kept and clean, activities for everyone available such as water aerobics and amazing evening shows. Thank you to everyone for making it so carefree and so relaxing for all of us. Every (minimal) issue was sorted out extremely fast. I can not fault it honestly speaking. But most of all I wanted to thank all of the staff, especially Issa, Esther, Khamis (Gaga) and Ishmael and the rest of the animation team, literally all of the chefs and servers and Chief Chef, to all of the receptionists and last but not least the manager Thomas! Thank you all for making us feel at home and relating to us on a personal level and that’s something you can not provide training for, it’s all based on character and friendliness which you all have a lot of. We have all left feeling like we are part of the family. We will definitely visit again. We miss you all. Fifi :)…
hated the experience at the hotel. Food is bad, service is poor, AC does not work in the room, location is not so good as well.meals come without drinks unless you pay separately for it on half board. do not recommend it to anyone. Shear waste of money.
Honestly regretting my decision to book this crappy hotel Holiday ruined. Fridge not working, beds uncomfortable, phone not working, AC not functional. Am sitting in the room with technicians trying to fix stuff Aboslutley horrible and a waste of Money.
My hubby took me for my birthday weekend gateway and our stay for the weekend was nothing short of exceptional..From the amazing customer service we received to the sumptuous meals to the clean lovely room we got..they exceeded our expectations. Harriet and Emmanuel the receptionist, Yusuf the restaurant supervisor,Adam the bar man and our everyday waiter at the restaurant Kelvin..We are entirely greatful for the lovely stay and great customer service you accorded us. We shall definitely be back. Thank you..Njeri...
Beautiful and clean and excellent food . Lots of variety of meat delicacies. Fish served there was too good.. Staff are very friendly . Wish they would keep special discounted rates for All Inclusive on soft drinks. We are regular/ repeat customers.
land in from Nairobi ready to enjoy my birthday and right from the paint pealings from the buildings near the gate we know we are in for a bumpy ride. We were checked in well given a nice lovely room. The food is nothing to write about, its always cold and flat. Our waiter Mwinyi was of great help during our meals. My girlfriend had arranged for a cake to be brought to our table during dinner for my birthday...guess what they took the cake to the wrong person and later on we learned that person told them that it's not his birthday but the service team still left the cake with him. We stood and took our disappointment to our room and 45min later someone knocked on our door and they brought our cake. At this point we really weren't in the i want cake mood. Day two, cold food all day (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and our room wasn't cleaned until 4pm and even then they didn't give us towels.6pm is upon us and i want to watch an arsenal game and i can't because the remote to the decoder is in the IT managers office and he has left for the day🙆🏾♂️ story of my life. Advice to the hotel owners...hire professionals give them what they need, step aside and let them do their job. I recommend you visit Sawela lodge in Naivasha for benchmarking.…
Had a 3 day pleasant stay at this seaside resort. It is spread over large well- manicured gardens and has a sandy beach front with coconut trees where most of the tourists spent their day lounging. There was evening entertainment in the evenings and a daily shuttle to nearest shopping centre. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Walking on beach safe and water excursions available.
A Lovely holiday destination. Very warm and hospitable staff. Fantastic room. Pool view rooms are really nice and spacious.Amenities are good. We received very warm welcome. Service is very fast. They have a bar with a large varierty of choices. We had a nice time.
