The Great Rift Lodge has always been a place of tranquillity and great beauty, from the well manicured lawns, the Cottages, Golf course, the infinity pool, the bush dinners, the well equipped state of the art conferencing facilities (a huge jump from the original tiny one in the artic, above the original dining room) friendly staff, the very expansive dining facilty, all sight to behold. I started visiting the Great Rift many years ago and ever since have been in and out facilitating Team building for many of my clients over the years. My most recent visit was to facilitate a Teambuilder for the International Organisation for Migration IOM) at the end of January. The transformation over the years has been awesome, from the day's when we used to drive the 12km from the main road, to just a few minutes drive on a smooth tarmac road. The location offers a great view of the sorrounding areas, including the Lake Naivasha (depending on where you are inside this very expansive facility) The birdlife is amazing, a great place for an ornithological safari. The facility which also hosts Zebras, many small antelopes and other game, is very very safe, for those who enjoy walking, one can walk at any time of day or night. The hotel also runs an in-house shuttle for those who are accommodated a distance away from the main building. The Great Rift is truly an amazing place to visit, whether on holiday, for golf, conference or just a quiet retreat.

I stayed at this amazing Aberdare Villa the first night and later moved to the Longonot executive Villa. The views from both rooms were amazing with the yellow sun warming the room in the morning and great sunsets.The personell were caring and quick to act on any query and I especially bonded with Front office manager(Valentine)who was warm, professional and eager to show me around and ensure my stay was comfortable..I had a great experience

Poline she has good skills in handling customers. Your transport team did a wonderful job. A condition was excellent, Guest relationship, especially by purity was very interactive, and always responded to our calls whenever we needed transport to and from the rooms. However you need to improve on variety of foods.

The customer service was excellent,the ambience was great, the environment was very clean with beautiful cottages,the rooms are well designed.
Lena Kamene who was my housekeeper was very friendly,keen and welcoming.She made sure I was comfortable and was always ready to assist. She was also very sincere I actually forgot some cash on the table in my room and when I went back to the room in the afternoon she informed me about it.
I enjoyed my stay it was a great experience.

My 14 day stay at GRVL was nothing short of amazing. Since I was here for an intense program, the environment was so homely and chill. Sam the driver made our stay so convenient! He literally made our highlight of the stay, He'd always been on time and drop us at the restaurant which was very kind and considerate. He checked up on us every end of the day
. The Environment is so relaxing. Nancy the waitress was so kind to all of us during the 14 day stay. Chef Adongo and Brian made sure we had Ugali which was very kind of them!
My only concern was Maryanne the receptionist who insisted on frustrating my stay. The first room i was issued, the doors wouldn't open and it was supper claustrophobic, I voiced this concern to Maryann who wasn't patient enough to listen to what i was trying to communicate, she allocated me a double bed room that had a leaking bathroom that had me slip and fall.
I called her the next day to get me a better room without the hitches. Again she wasn't patient enough to allocate me a decent room, she instead gave me a worse off room which was a very petty move. She declined to listen to the concerns i was voicing and dismissed me with ' all the rooms are booked' while my other colleagues were transferred to better rooms.
Apart from the distasteful experience with Maryann that made me . I hate going to my room at the end of the day, I enjoyed my stay, the crew at the restaurant were very pleasant and kind which was really appreciated.

The GRVL is amazing. Their amenities are to die for. WiFi is great all over the property. We were fortunate to enjoy the Valentine’s Day package which was set up perfectly each step of the way. Dinner was exquisite and very romantic. The musician serenading is over dinner with his guitar was on point, The food was delicious. The morning breakfast with a view was set overlooking the ridge surrounding the property and was very romantic. The whole experience made our Valentine’s Day very memorable. The staff was very pleasant and paid great attention to every detail. Special thanks to Miss Mueni (Guest Services), Miss Amran (lunch waitress) Mr Sam (dinner waiter) and I tip my hat to one Mr Kiama (FMB manager) for really wowing me and my wife with his knowledge of the property while giving us a full private tour taking the time to explain everything the resort has to offer. Kudos again for a job well done and will definitely be returning again. You guys knocked Valentine’s Day out of the park for us.

Visited GRVL with my husband to get away from all the noise in Nairobi and our home ( COVID sent kids back home...noise extra!!) We needed a place to think and restrategise and it was our wedding anniversary weekend.
Drove to Naivasha early Friday morning- had asked for early check in and it was granted. We arrived in good time and after checking in electronically, we were ushered to our room...Samuel was so gracious- and made such a good impression! I fell in love with GRVL Immediately.
The quiet and calm in the Lodge draws you in and I enjoyed every bit of my time there. The food was fresh and Hudson and the restaurant crew,went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable- we are truly grateful.
Will we be back? Of cos yes!

A beautiful lodge in the Great Rift Valley. Rooms are comfortable, food is good with some vegetarian options. The lodge offers guiding and transport services as well as laundry, all cheerfully supplied. The location near Lake Naivasha affords numerous opportunities to appreciate the wildlife and scenery in the area. Of special note, the team of Daniel and William for wildlife viewing is remarkably conscientious.

What amazing experience, I stayed in 2060 house which is rustic and cozy. I enjoyed the great hospitality by housekeeping team for keeping my room sparkling clean and housekeeping supervisor Daniel who always focussed in knowing about our entire experience. My experience was amazing. No insects or mosquito encounters. If you are an avid traveler, some of this little issues should be expected based on your choice of accommodation and its location :-)
