Property's Favorite Review
I just returned from a trip to Africa and stayed 3 nights at Kongoni Lodge. It was by far my favorite accommodation of my trip. I stayed in a 2 bedroom cottage, which is set up like a house. Two private bedrooms that share the common living, dining and kitchen areas. If you don't want to be housed with a stranger, you can request the other room be left empty for a small fee, or request a one bedroom cottage. There was also strong wifi signal in the cottages. The food is top notch, the best I had on my trip, and the staff is lovely. There is an amazing view of the lake from the restaurant. The only negative is that this property isn't directly on the lake, but there is a trail on the property that leads up to an amazing view of the area. The positive to this property not being directly on the lake is that the higher altitude keeps it cool and mosquito free! This is a great base from which to explore the surrounding area. Lake Naivasha, Hell's Gate and Crater Lake Sanctuary are all very close by. I would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend if you're in the area.

I enjoyed my stay. The staff are most welcoming from the security officer at the gate, the receptionist, to the dinning/bar area staff. Even the gardener offered to wash the dust off our car. The accommodation is perfect and in all, a very good experience ( side note to the sous chef on breakfast of Sunday the 19th Feb, Treat your fellow staff better, don't shout at them the way you did) Lovely experience, Highly recommended.

Kongoni Naivasha is a truly wonderful place - we (a family of four) stayed in a “room” nearly as big as our house, with a big front porch from which we had ad great view of the lake. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant excellent - at every meal we had four courses and each course was a choice between three possibilities. From the hotel you can walk to a observation point with even greater views over the lake. About 30 minutes drive away you can attend boat safaris and a short walking safari - it is a very special experience to walk among zebras, gnus, impalas and giraffes.

This place is really stunning. Away from busy City live, located near the Lake Naivasha on a hill with nothing but nature. Sometimes Monkeys come for a visit, but besides that only beautiful birds are there. The Cottages rate from normal to exclusive with an private small pool at the place. (Only Exclusive!) Each Cottage comes with a Solar Panel on the Roof from Bosch, to safe up and receive hot water. The Living Room is stunning and huge, it has a 2 couches, with a wooden table and big chairs in it. The Bedroom has a Twin Size Bed with a moskito net. The Bathroom has a big rainshower and two nice sinks. For the Exclusive Cottage a Whirlpool is also included in the Bathroom. The way from and to the restaurant is walkable and the signs lead the way, in case you get lost. The Staff is sweet, helpful and very nice. Food was incredible good and not much, because they only serve food on how many people stayed at the Lodge. They want to prevent wasting much food. Prices are fair and at some point affordable.

I loved the experience. We got the exclusive cottage that has its own plunge pool and jacuzzi. The facilities are clean and spacious. The food is a lot! and we had a wonderful waiter called Julius Maison who made our dining experience even more special. The only problem is that the road leading to the hotel from the main road is terrible and I would strongly advise that you use a 'hardy' vehicle. Also, the receptionist didn't give us sufficient information about areas within the hotel that we could explore such as the observational point which we stumbled upon accidentally as we were leaving. All in all, I loved the place and would highly recommend especially if you like a place that's tranquil and private.

Greetings from Naivasha Kongoni Lodge, Thank you for choosing us to be your host destination and that you had a memorable stay. Thank you for the time taken to send us your feedback. Glad that you enjoyed our food and that the cottage was comfortable. I will also let Julius know of his exemplary service during you stay. We are sorry for not getting all the necessary information at the reception desk. This review is very helpful because we now know where to improve on in regards to our services. We are hoping the county government will work on the road since the hotels and residence have had numerous meetings with the government of the same. We look forward to hosting you again soon.

We were 2 couples and it worked perfectly to share one house. We each had our own bedroom & bath and yet could visit in the large living/eating area. Toiletries were provided, the bed was very comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water. Food was actually very good and plentiful. It was nice to be waited on as opposed to always jumping up for a buffet. Staff were all very professional - we accidentally overpaid and the refund came back within a couple of days. If they had a fridge and stove it could be an easy place for a family. The only awkward thing about this property was that if you go as only 2 people, you may share the house with strangers.

The wait service is very friendly and professional. Specifically Japheth & Faith. My panfried tilapia lunch was cold & Tasteless. I have feedback but ate half of it as I was so hungry. My Dinner was beautifully presented Lamp Chops. Inaske dfor Medium Rare. It came burnt. No literally. Plus the mint gravy had the burnt bits in it. They quickly replaced it with non-issue and appolgised. The replacement chops were done Blue Steeak. Raw on the inside. I have up. Ate my greens and lemon tea and went to bed hungry. I am supposed to be here 2 nights I have pre-paid. I am just going to check out a day early. So disappointed. One of the wait stuff told me their main chef was away for the day. Guess I picked a bad day to come for my long awaited holiday. Alas.

Pros: staff are super friendly and that’s about it. Cons: 1 night cost ksh10,000 per person in the executive room for residents. Not worth it at all. Food: very average and basic. I have been to hotels/lodges and paid ksh 10k per person and have never eaten more basic food than this place Toiletries: very cheap quality Jacuzzi: dirty Not ideal for families with kids-pretty boring. Overall I would not recommend this lodge or come back again Drinking water: less water, 1 bottle per person per room Rooms: spacious but the some of the room lights did not work If you want to do any activities such as boating or game drive, this is an extra charge on top of the rates already paid
