Stayed at the top camp away from the rowdy teenagers and others at the bottom camp. Cottage called Kwazi overlooks the lake and is in its own compound. Basic set up. Self catering with some cultlery and crockery. Also some old book. Ideal for getting away. Self barbecue can be done. Small Fridge.

Campsite was lovely. Brought my own tent and sleeping bag (rented from this guy- 0710917191) . I should have rented out a mattress because I felt like I was literally sleeping on the ground. Friendly staff, helped with setting up the tent and starting the camp fire. The restaurant had yummy but overpriced meals- I saw some groups make their... More

We booked two bandas at Top Camp, but when we arrived we were told there were no more bandas available. Weird, given that they confirmed twice that the booking had gone through. It later transpired that the guy who "confirmed" our booking no longer works for them. Obviously not Top Camp's fault that this guy is taking bookings from people... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for three nights during the week. We had the place to ourselves as the only campers. The campsite has great hot showers and toilets. The facilities are brilliant for a camping ground. Bit pricey than some but you get what you pay for with beautiful trees, spots for tents and of course it's on... More

Nice campground at the lake shore with good restaurant and hot showers. Unfortunately their noise policy sucks. Although the policy says after 11.30 pm silence there was music and loud talking, singing and jelling from several groups until 4 am. The night guard did nothing and even after complaining he allowed someone to start washing his car at 6 o'clock... More

For two budget travelers without a tent, it was actually cheaper for us to stay at Top Camp than it was for us to rent a tent from them. I'd highly recommend Top Camp. It's a little hike from the main camping area, but it's quiet, has great views, and has basic rooms with basic kitchens, depending on how many... More

My wife and I have stayed here several times over the years, it has lovely views of the lake and thats about it. The bandas haven't changed but they are clean and tidy. The on site restaurant, food is good but getting on the expensive side, staff cheerfull and helpful. This site does attract a lot of local guests who... More

Stayed here for a couple of nights in February 2014. The accommodation is very, very basic but you get what you pay for. We stayed at top camp for one night and sat around a fire chatting and drinking. We moved to bottom camp the following day just to be nearer to the lake. After a lovely meal and a... More

We came as group of 25 students, they placed 2 teachers up in the relatively good Topcamp 1 km away from the campground. The path was difficult to reach by bus. All indication or boards were missing. It took us 1 hour to find the house. Some of the bandas were inacceptable. 1 banda had water on the floor coming... More

A simple camp with the most perfect location. A big camp with a nice nature where you and your friends can find a good spot to put your tents. The staff is nice and helpful. The bar is a cool place where you can enjoy your drinks. The food was not the best. But overall a good place if you... More
