I am a frequent visitor to Sopa Naivasha , its one of the few scenic places that you cannot get tired off. However my most recent stay ( 25-26th Nov) was far from what i had previously experienced. The reception wasn't warm or friendly and we were put up in Room 80 which had no hot water :-( .......that was... More

We arrived for a 2 night stay and the staff at the main gate were so welcoming . The wildlife are abundant, a herd of water buck grazed leisurely near the main gate. The reception staff quickly allocated is a room . The hotel lobby and dinning area has and nice rustic theme and it has natural lighting due to... More

The drive to the hotel was amazing though the road is rather bumpy. Nonetheless, our arrival was well received and right on time for a restorative cup of coffee served at the garden. The wildlife comes out to graze from around 7pm and it's an amazing experience. The wind down was marked by a fireplace chill out right next to... More

Because of the HIppos in the lake they do ask that after dark, you don't venture out on your own. The rooms, typical of Sopa Lodges and the food also the same, decent buffets. This is a larger lodge and our rooms were quite far off on the 2nd floor of a 4 roomed house, with a nice large balcony.... More

Rooms are great-Large beautiful view and adequately equipped. Location very ideal location with wildlife welcoming you as you drive in to the reception. We saw Giraffes and Water bucks. Customer Service- The first day and a half, we really had issues with the restaurant staff. Who we found were quite inattentive, aloof an distrait. We literally had to request a... More

Stayed for two nights on a business conference and overall had enjoyed stay. It is a large facility, very peaceful with good grounds for relaxation and lay about. The rooms are decent, very large actually with good facilities. However the bathrooms need refreshing and possibly upgrade; the towels did not look very clean! The food was good with sufficient variety... More

Recently stayed for 6 nights, my third visit. As before the staff were really fantastic, very friendly and nothing was too much for them. The buffet style meals offered a wide selection of foods, catering for a broad range of tastes. No heating in the rooms, but I loved my hot water bottle - very luxurious.

One of the best stays we had ... the rooms are cosy and have a beautiful patio where we could see animals grazing by... we were greeted by two giraffes on the first day and once it turned dark we saw many hippos grazing at a distant.. the food is excellent with wide array of choice... we had a late... The first thing that strikes you about SOPA lodge is the grounds. It is lush green and so relaxing. And the animals that walk right up to the cottages - giraffes right at the balcony in the morning, hippos emerging at night. It's a lovely place to just forget the troubles of the city. Service is really good, the rooms... More
