Nice place to go have a drink and a meal, food is good and affordable. Expect expensive drinks as all lodges/backpackers in Malawi. Accommodation is good for a stopover through Mzuzu. Make sure to buy some packets of coffee of which the owner is also the distributor. The owner is a grumpy German but the staff is nice. Unfortunately this...

Place is a very good one, especially for backpackers as it is within walking distance from the city center. The bar and restaurant area looks very British, like a pub and attracts a few people during the weekends. At the porch you can relax with a cold beer. The menu has the food you might be in need of, after...

A pleasant enough spot away from the main road; convenient location for an affordable stopover en route to Nyika, Livingstonia or the Lake; cosy, well stocked bar. Feels rather grubby and rough around the edges, with our room poorly cleaned; uninspiring menu; lots of people coming and going in the bar area made it feel insecure; difficult to get to...

I was camping out on the campground. There were 2 security guards employed, but all they do is sleep all night. My backpack was under my tent flap (because my tent is too small for it), and after I awoke in the morning, the backpack was nowhere to be seen, and of course, the sleeping guards had no clue. The...

stayed here many times throughout my time in malawi, fab place! lovely chilled out atmosphere, can get rowdy at the weekend but it is always good fun! definitely the best place to stay to meet other backpackers, volunteers and also locals! friendly staff, the chef humphrey is amazing! give his banana pancakes a go and john is always happy to...

I stayed two nights in the dorm in January 2015. There were 2 security guards but they left around 4:30 am. I went to toilet around 4:45 am. When I came back, my backpack was gone. I had my Canon60D camera, nexus 7 tablet, wallets and few other things. Later, I figured out who stole my backpack. It is the manager's...

It was a good place and great bar tender PAUL. But the unpleasant and not friendly manager, although the wifi pass word is*talk to each other* or something like that but he even do not bother to reply to your hello or good morning. The owner was much nicer and i was wondering why he appointed grumpy manager like him.

As soon as we sat down with a drink on the verandah, we felt like we were home. It's a great leafy property with huge bamboo bushes in the back, and two happy dogs and a lovely cat to keep you company. John is an excellent host, the food is good, the shower is hot, and the paintwork and feel...

Had some of my best evenings in this wonderful bar. Visited all of the clubs and bars in and around Mzuzu but this little place, with it's Woodstock meets Dali vibe, artwork smeared across the walls and ceilings, library, and great music - was undoubtedly our favourite place to spend an afternoon or evening. Fab for backpackers, and the food...

I really liked the feel and vibe of this place it is however for backpackers and travelers and people who are not too fussy and like a bubbly color full atmosphere. Awesome decorations in the lounge/bar area which gives you a welcome feeling. There is a game and book room. A nice fire place with couches and chairs around. Staff...
