Reachable from the main road. Very quite and peaceful. The workers are very courteous and always willing to help. The WiFi can cellphone coverage must be improved on. The main entrance sometime it floods when it rains. The table nappies should be changed to cotton nappies and not red silk :-)

Ciala Resort truly offers a great escape, to relax and unwind during this pandemic. At a time when most establishments are nonoperational, they remain industry leaders in ensuring safe spaces for much needed relaxation.
You immediately feel at ease when you walk in, all personnel and guests are screened at points of entry and the staff are diligent enough to always be kitted up with protective gear. All amenities are sanitized frequently.
The food and service is superb as always , the whole experience will render leaving a genuine heartache.

Spent 3days and 2 nights there. Loved every minute of it, from the reception to the rooms, which are huge compared to the average hotel room size. Menu prices may be a bit high, but worth every penny, quantity of food isnt bad. Staff were willing to help whenever, breakfast was always lovely. Only downside was that I didnt have hot water in my room, but it was hot outside and didnt need it anyway. So wasnt that much of a factor.

1. Accomodation There are no family rooms at the resort so we took up the executive because we have toddlers who cant stay in their own rooms. The executive room is great. i cant fault it. Its spacious enough to manouvre and keeps things private too.
2. Food service Well the breakfast options were good, however, the dinner was not that great. The first night there, the resort hosting two wedding, and trust me you could tell the kitchen service suffered because the meal available on that evening was not a buffet at all. Unfortunately the situation didn't change at all the next three nights, the salad bar was limited, the dessert options were truly disappointing and the main meal lacked variety ( and i went to eat) perhaps considering it was holiday season a live station would have been great. Also for breakfast you had only one person at the egg & pancake station that created such a delay which i find quite unnecessary especially if your in house is full.
3.Fun activities Great for kids fun activities and play area.
Pool needs more attention to detail.

I am disappointed that I made a mistake to come to this resort. In as much as it’s location is ideal and the general outlook is quite appealing, I didn’t like the state of my room.
The safe was still locked when I checked into the room. All attempts to have the management address the issue was futile because it appears the supervisor decided to keep the master key, which is used to unlock all the safes. The supervisor wasn’t around to facilitate the process and not even the duty manager.
The refrigerator in the room had a technical issue that wasn’t resolved by the time I checked into the room. It took me to call the reception via my cellphone (mark you, there’s no phone directory in the room), who sent a staff member to replace that refrigerator. I feel like that refrigerator isn’t the most ideal brand; further it’s situated way too low on the ground for one to bend over to open.
The table lamp was also not functioning. They replaced it. Looking around the room, you could tell that the final touches on the room wasn’t done well. Stains of paint are visible in certain areas of the room as well as silicone stains.
One of the clothing hangers was broken and I couldn’t understand why the housekeeping staff didn’t notice it to replace.
The staff are relatively good but they don’t appear to have been throughly orientated to handle their respective roles. When talking to some, I observed that they either lacked knowledge of some things that I needed to be addressed and that they appear to rely on a premeditated template of their actions, thereby making it harder to connect with them.
These people tend to be too slow in their service. Not too sure about returning back in two weeks time for I wasn’t impressed by the way things are being done in this resort.

I loved the rooms, spacious and clean. The staffs' are very friendly, especially the gym instructor, he trained me the whole week and I could feel a change in my body. Please improve on your menu though, include vegetarians dishes and see how to shorten the time food takes to get ready.

The resort is in a perfect location if you like quietness and being surrounded by nature. The staff were excemptional: Alice the waiter is the queen of customer service,so attentive and keen. John the pool attendant was impressive,Tyson the waiter is a star, Philip morning chef and Calvin chief were amazing and Doughlas the F&B manager true defination of a leader. Ciala takes the crown of all the hotels i have been to in Kenya. The food is just delicious. The only down part is the cross trainer,bike in the also the steam and sauna not working. For the spa: please get a professional face steamer(using a basin and covering a guest with towel is ancient fo such an establishment)

I have visited this location twice, 1st Time we had a surprise birthday part, that was amazing they went above and beyond 2nd Time we had a wedding in traditional wedding in kisumu & some of our guest slept there overall reviews - Compliments to the Chef. Food was amazing (5 Stars) - Compliments to the Guest service & Events manager awesome attentive & just caring (5 Stars)
Now someone would wonder why I gave them 4 stars instead of 5. The manager has a grandiose complex, we had planned a bridal shower at this location booked and and ready to attend, (planned with guest service & events manager) the day off he asks his team to relocate us to another location. It left a bad taste in my mouth. We just moved our event to another venue.
Besides that incident, the location is amazing, I would still recommend it.
