Sorry, I’ve never seen the basement either,but as we were in a room right beside the stairwell,I can tell you that it was nosy down there. I believe that is where the laundry,food prep etc is. The room , on the main floor, that we stayed in had a double and twin bed and was quite roomy. Hope this helps.
