Thank you for a lovely stay. I was here for two nights, just a quick stay. Thank you for organising a lovely day of activities, snorkelling, visit to Skull Island and Lola. I also really enjoyed the bushwalk to the local waterfall and the WW2 museum. The accommodation was comfortable, and I appreciated the fly wire screens on the windows. I really enjoyed my stay, and will keep fond memories forever. Leana hola!

I spent 3 weeks in the Solomon Islands in december 2019 and during my stay in Munda, I stayed in Qua Roviana. However, I was recommended to cross the street to Agnes Lodge in order to organise day trips and have some food/drinks at their restaurant. This was exactly what I did. Agnes were able to organise a day trips for us throughout our time there and were extremely helpful giving us a list of tours and prices. The setting was lovely and they had a well position restaurant on the waterfront although the food could have been better. I would recommend doing all the trips below, although there was more on offer: On Christmas day, we organised a hike in the morning to the beautiful Bopo falls. It takes a short boat ride and then about an hour's walk (although this depends on your fitness) through the rainforest to reach the falls. The walk is pretty flat so you do not need to be extremely fit but you do cross the river a lot where it is very slippery. Once there you can swim in a plunge pool and relax before you then walk back. I would recommend taking things you are happy to get wet and a dry pair of clothes would help but is not essential. Another day trip we organised was to the Hopei Island day trip. In the morning went to a river and went looking for saltwater crocodiles. For lunch we went to Hopei Island where we ate fish with rice, potatoes and salad. The fish was cooked on coals on the beach there which was amazing and just fell off the bones. There was also a lime juice to accompany this which was super tasty. The Vona Vona lagoon day trip was amazing. We went to see the historic Skull Island, went to Lola island(Zipolo Habu Resort) for a drink and snorkeled in between. We were even able to do a bit of fishing. Skull island is a collection of enemy skulls from fighting tribes. It is one of the most sacred areas in the region and it provides an fascinating insight into the fierce 'head hunting' history of the local tribes.

I visited this stunning lodge for my kidneys holiday We had a blast. I consider this a business trip because I was always busy. My pet forklift was allocated a adequate space and my oak luggage was handled with delicacy. Would highly recommend saying here since the food was as good as a brick in a slow cooker. 10/10

Virtually fall out of bed in to the dive shop. Comfortable small room with hot water bathroom and aircon. Multiple power points for devices. Small fridges for water. Run on rainwater tanks so water is safe to drink. However I still put it through my filter bottle. Restaurant is on a deck over water. We saw a black tip from the deck. The food is good, especially their seafood, curries, burgers and pancakes ( more like thin lovely crepes) with icecream for breakfast and dinner. The staff are all friendly. Just do not be in a hurry for it especially if there are a lot of guests. Basic but quite comfortable and had everything we needed for a dive holiday.

Bungalows were comfortable enough apart from the bad lighting, the real let down was the restaurant. The meals were very ordinary and expensive, they took at least an hour to come out every time we ate there. The setting is great and fantastic to have a beer and gaze out the the numerous islands.

My stay at Agnes Gateway Hotel in early May was excellent. Having stayed there twice before I knew the service would be outstanding. The room was great and after a long day at work the hot shower was most welcome. The restaurant had been moved, upgraded and the menu had healthy and tasty options. However this time I had a medical emergency.... a serious one...the type that required urgent medical evacuation. The logistics were complex and it was only thanks to the staff at Agnes that it worked out ok. A big thank you to Lorna and Nita from Agnes Gateway Hotel and Elsa who is the nurse from Goldie Hospital who made two trips to the hotel to assess the situation and then return with medication. Their kindness and efficient, quick and effective help was crucial during the critical first few hours of the medical emergency. I look forward to my next stay there and time to enjoy their hospitality and excellent service.

Hotels.com reservations prepaid. Greeted by name on checkin, then room rate more than doubled on check out with denial that Hotels.com had charged. Agnes Lodge relented and settled for 440 SBD/day, or about 60-70 per day more than I had reserved for. Later login to credit card showed that Hotels.com had charged so I double paid.Up til now I have not been reimubursed for the overpay. Hotels.com cancelled their charge but did not go to bad to recoup my overpay at the desk on check out and neither did Agnes Lodge. STAY at ZIPOLU HABU which is nearby. They will pick you up and transfer you by boat and you will love it. Say hello to Joe and Lisa Entrikin. Now that is a first rate operation.

If you want to say in a local village, Munda Guesthaus is the perfect place. Just a 10 minutes walk from Dive Munda (We went to Munda for the diving), it is cheaper than Agnes Lodge and you have your own bathroom (cold water only). David and Alice were lovely hosts, very helpful as they know a lot of people and always smiling. A great place to stay.

Water collected on use by lodge, guests lowering carbon footprint. Rubbish disposal on systematic manner, will give more * Wonderful staffs and locals. Walk here from airport and on return, catch a ferry. Overpriced food, delicious.

Accomodation was all right but don't expect privacy (suite with living room and 2 rooms but no doors). Staff very helpful for organizing activities, transportation... Restaurant good, 100$ for day's menu, very good breakfast (not included in price). At the time of paying, they tried to change the price and apply a random change rate to the price given on the website. After negociations they accepted to apply the initial price. Make sure you agree on a price when you arrive and don't trust the website!
