Oholei is one of few places offering Sunday lunch with a traditional Tongan buffet. The best place in the east coast of the main island Tongatapu. We went there after church service. Beautiful white clean beach. Lots of sand. We saw a humpback whales swimming by. The food is delicious. You will eat until the food is running out. The... More

We took this tour in Oct., 2015 during our Holland America South Pacific cruise. A bus met us at the pier and took us to the blowholes. It was amazing to watch the water propelled up in the sky thru these blowholes. There were souvenirs sold at this area but we didn't have the time to buy. Our tour guide... More

We loved this place, run by a family that has owned it forever. The Fales need to be rehabbed…… The rooms were not clean, the front door was 4ft. tall, the bathroom had no hot water and the sink did not work. It wouldn't take much to redecorate with local objects and tapas. The dinner show, in the cave, was... More

Beautiful location, we loved the authenticity and the beachfront fale but the bathroom was too dirty and nowhere to hang out our clothes and our towels. They also forgot to open the bathroom for us, we had to complain at dinner time and they didn t offer us a discount. Breakfast is not even included. The show cave was wonderful... More

The only resort I choose to take friends & family to for a dinner show. Yes, I have tried them all. I love the authentic Tongan experience this place offers every time. Has the band stopped playing after the show? We were looking forward to a drink and a boogie after the show during our latest visit but the bar... More

We didn't stay at the resort but attended one of their evening cultural experiences. Costs was Tongan Pa'anga $40 each plus $10 each for transport to and from our hotel in Nuku'alofa. It's difficult to provide a fair review of these sorts of evenings as everyones expectations are different. We have attended similar cultural evenings in Samoa and Vanuatu and... More

Extremely hard to find this hotel on Tonga's un-signposted roads. Steep dark steps down to what appeared to be a lovely long beach (one of the few in Tonga apparently not consisting of sharp coral and rocks). Good band playing in a very pleasant natural area, but all this was spoiled by the megalomaniac proprietor who insisted on monopolising the... More

We decided to end our 2 week trip in Tonga with this show. It was a great experience. Beautiful location and scenic views. Great dances and entertainment as well as the food. I definitely recommend this to tourists as well as Tongan visitors that haven't yet been.

I ended up booking here as my preferred choices were booked up for Easter. Was lucky the island night was on as it was amazing. However, one night staying here was one too many for a solo traveller. No power to charge phone (which was only camera I had), no food available (they didn't tell me to bring any), no... More

We attended the Friday night show and buffet and were very impressed. The quality of the dance show was the best we had seen and highly recommend to any visitors to the Kingdom. The dance and cultural show was performed in a cave with seating and is a nice touch by the resort. The buffet was great, a lot of... More
