I always valued when local people work at any hotel. However, they must improve their service. The hotel should arrange the rooming list for groups and not ask to the guests to select the rooms by themselves. On the other hand, I forgot my iPhone in the room, and I reported as soon as I realized it. This was a... More

We stayed for 1 night before we explored the salt lakes in Uyuni. This hotel is a government sponsored environmentally friendly project by using the local building materials and providing employment to the local. We stayed in the best room (#1). It is huge but the furnishing is very basic. It has a spectacular view of the lake. But how... More

Build in a local style with amazing views this has the potential to be good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The maintenance very poor. Toilet leaking, shower head blocked, they don't tell you that from about 10:30 or 11:00pm there is no light in the hotel. There is n torch in case you need to go to the... More

The worst bed linen ever. Synthetic, full of little bobbles, smelly. No bedside lamp - not that it would have mattered, the lights went out around 11 pm . No torch, no warning that the lights might go out. We were told to take these owe in the evening as it would be only cold water in the morning. The... More

We stayed at room 12 on the first night our trip to Uyuni 8th of Feb., 2016, after a long Safari trip from San Pedro de Atacama, Chili. We had seen the accommodation situations of the hostals along the trip. So we were quite satisfied with hotel. The room is unexpected big enough, clean and quiet. The dinner and breakfist were... Unless you want to stay in dorm style rooms in a local house sleeping with people you don't know this hotel is pretty much your only option in the area. One might expect that the hotel would use this advantage excessively but really, the place is decent. The food was good, the staff were friendly and the room was cozy,... More

We stayed for one night in October. Hotel is quite nice, considering the location ( In the middle of deset ), everything a traveler would need, spacious ,clean rooms, hot showers, decent breakfast, helpful and friendly staff, especially the receptionist ( Maria Magda ?} who helped us to send an urgent message when the internet in the hotel was down.... It depends on which trip you go. This village mostly is visited by people who sleep in the Tayka Hotel. The cost is mid class to high but very well. The village itself; actually you can see 3 different era. The fortification Tojota abandoned, actual village and the new village built for attention of the 3rd rally Dakar in 2016... More

We stayed for 1-night at the Tayka de Piedra at the beginning of October this year, booked for us by our tour organiser. On arrival we were allocated room 1 near the reception. I think this must be the best room as it is a very big size and has a great view over the village below and towards the... More

Very pleasant hotel. View to the hills is great but the other way over looks a small town and is not very pleasant. Dinner was very good and there was an excellent breakfast. Although the weather was fairly cold outside the room was well heated considering how big it was. Thought this was a great place to overnight. Few ruins... More
