Liked the position of this rather old fashioned hotel close to the centre. Relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. They prefer you to pay in cash - I don't know why - could it be something to do with tax? The room was spacious but quite dark with no aircon. It was good value at the affordable end - not posh...

We were here in the low season. Very quiet. Friendly reception by the owner who explained how it works. Lovely courtyard with plenty hammocks and seats to relax. Experienced interior decorator at work! Rooms not big but clean with free wifi. Simple but tasteful breakfast. Free parking. Center of village is just around the corner.

This old house has been restored with excellent taste and is one of the best places to stay in Cafayate. Close to the central square, but in a quiet corner of the town. The courtyard is quiet with plenty of flowers.

The Vieja Posada is housed in a beautiful 140 year old Finca that has been renovated with great attention to detail. The historic character and style of the building was conserved very well without being cheesy, it feels a bit as if you were traveling back in time. All rooms are either set around on a pretty courtyard (with a...

Nice and rustic B&BS. Very near the plaza and the bedrooms are spacious, clean and characteristic. The only draw back was the tiny shower. It wasn't easy taking a shower in a half a meter square shower. But the owner or manager was By helpful and friendly.

Very pleasant posada. Nice soundings. However, avoid room no 1 – two singles, which reminded me of a backpacker’s hostel. It’s a dark room and at the time of my visit full of mosquitos! I had to ask to change my room for much nicer double room. I wish I had more time to chill out in their garden and...

Wow, this is such a beautiful place! Very nice old buildings, beautiful gardens, a small pool, clean and spacious rooms, great breakfast and welcoming staff. I can't think of anything negative about this place. Maybe the price, but you get a lot of value for your money.

We stayed for three nights at this charming and characterful hotel. Staff were welcoming and friendly. The room was basic but comfortable and clean. Breakfast is served a two minute walk away at another location - a beautifully refurbished building. The hotel is located near to the centre of town and has off road parking. We had a pleasant stay...

We stayed for two nights in Cafayate, a wonderful town. The Vieja Posada had the most beautiful room. Textures made for an artistic experience; a rock wall, exposed adobe, the traditional cane ceiling with a cane and wood "canopy", thick wood counter with elevated ceramic bowl sink, and more. The courtyard was tranquil and great for sitting around, and it...
