This hotel looked so nice, we decided to forego the salt flats in order to extend our time in Cafayate. We believe we made a great decision! The room we stayed in was actually more like 3 rooms overlooking (on one side) one of the patios (and there are several) and wide lawn on the other. Beds and bedding were great, high quality linens. The place overall was a calm peaceful oasis conveniently located at the crossroads just outside the main town. The food was lovely. All the staff were really helpful. I believe one woman's name was Flavia - she was very nice and really helpful. And she seemed to be a permanent fixture - both at breakfast and suppertime. As a side-note, this hotel was likely quite pricey for the area - at ~$130 per night, it was a steal versus US rooms of similar quality even given the remoteness of Cafayate in general. The wines from the vineyard on the grounds (El Esteco) are some of the better ones in the area. We were sad that we'd already met our shopping quota. I recommend San Pedro de Yacochuya of the vineyards we were able to visit. Much better wine that Piattelli (great tour with an English speaking guide who helpfully pointed us in the right direction for our future vineyard visits) and Colome (wine isn't not worth the 17km drive each way on the gravel road although the people were really nice). I think I missed the point of Finca de Nubes but that could be language issues.

After a long drive from Salta to Cafayate (if you take the scenic route, which is not to be missed, but please don’t believe the locals who say you can do it in a standard car, we spoke to endless people who had done this and like us ended up with a flat tyre) we couldn’t have been more happy to arrive at this hotel. When we saw the room and the pool both me and my partner decided to book another night at the hotel. The rooms are gorgeous. The pool area is beautiful. And the food at the restaurant was great. What more could you want??

Great colonial style hotel with every detail inside, fire place and furniture. The winery Esteco is next to it and a must to visit and the wine tasting. One negative note, the credit card unit didn't work a lucky we have cash to paid our bill, maybe another unit will be a good idea. The food in the restaurant is excelent but pricey.

Without any doubt the best hotel in Argentina. Very luxurious, nice food, very friendly & efficient staff. I regret we only stayed there one night. If I come here again I’ll certainly book a room again. And not forget, they have some of the best wines.

Lovely and atmospheric hotel in the bodega with generous size rooms and a great huge and comfortable bed! Did wine tour which was also very enjoyable and bought some delicious wine based on the Torrontes grape varietal. The restaurant serves very good food and therefore we only dined there. The Faisan ham in particular (pheasant smoked ham) in the salad was unique and truly excellent! Wish they had a heated swimming pool as water was very cold indeed. Fabulous scenery nearby with Garaganta del Diablo and Anfiteatro. other excellent winery tours available nearby. Just a lovely area to explore!
