The staff at HCR are all wonderful. They are mostly family and make you feel like family. They eat meals with you socialize with you and cry when you leave. From the beautiful horseback rides thru the woods or the zip line across the canyon it beats any amusement park by miles. When we were there people of all ages...

Our family of 6 (50,47, 20, 19, 16, 15) spent our summer family vacation at the ranch. Our kids are still talking about it. It was great If you are looking for a great adventure that puts family back into the word family go here. At the dining hall, family dinner, great food and nowhere to run off to...no cell...

Until I went here I didn't think Arkansas had anything to offer. This place is a DEAL. Cheap camping/climbing, along with amazing views everywhere. If you're going for a long stint of camping, they have a nice paid shower so you don't have to get too earthy. I don't want to start a fight on here, but I'd like to...

We went to HCR over spring break in 2012. We were blessed with 80+ degree weather, making our experience so much more perfect. In all honesty, I never anticipated that the vacation would be as amazing as it was. My 9 and 11 year old gained a sense of confidence through handling the horses on terrain that most 'family trail...

Jason & all the folks at Horseshoe Canyon Ranch were terrific. This weekend the cabins were booked so we just spent the day there. The colorful fall leaves were beautiful! The rock climbing was fun and safe with Jason as our guide. Though I learned camping is available and lots of climbers bring their own equipment there. I enjoyed the...

My family of five and I, from ages 4 through 72, had an unexpectedly good time here. The Johnson family and their staff are most accommodating. The food, cooked by the gracious Sara, is yummy beyond belief. The wranglers are skilled and so nice to one and all, of all ages, no matter what rather dumb thing one might do....

This is a late entry from about 1 year ago. Our family had a blast and my kids rated this our best vacation ever. We arrived on a Sunday, which for the ranch is their down day. We arrived at the ranch and went to our cabin. My husband and I were delighted that there was no tv, but the...

We had about 20 people from all over the country - Southern Arkansas, Seattle, Philly, Texas, California and Oklahoma - converge in Jasper, Arkansas for a family reunion celebration. We had ages ranging from 2 years old up to 73 and the ranch offered something for every ability and activity level. From the first day we arrived we felt the...

We are a family of 7 who has to squeeze in travel between the schedule of five children ages 5-14 and the HCR staff was great at accommodating our shifting schedule needs. First looking out west for a dude ranch, we chose HCR for its competitive rates. We were truly surprised to find all of the activities that were included...
