I have only stayed here a couple of times but gutted I did not find it earlier as I have been working in the area for three years and staying at pretty ordinary to poor places

Welcoming landlord great little rooms could not comment on the breakfast as there was a power outage so no electricity or gas (controlled by electricity)
Be aware of the taxi service not the greatest unless you get Bob and £15 one way to Leez Priory about a mile away !

Typical local "Huffers", tasty triangular bread, with your choice of fillings & a choice of beers brewed locally as well as national choices.Other menu choices include vegetarian & vegan. There is a big garden area with tables when the weather is good.

What’s the rough cost of a pub lunch here?
Somewhere around £10 -£12 per head for a hot meal, some dishes a bit less and a great range of huge bread rolls - the pub is known locally as the ‘huffer pub’ a huffer being a roll slightly smaller than a loaf. They also do jacket potatoes. Deserts around £4? Never had a bad meal. The owner cooks - always a good sign!
