Located in the foothills of the Ozarks, the Red Apple Inn and Resort is the perfect getaway for people who love a natural setting, fine food, golf, tennis, and more. Enjoy the expansive view of Greers Ferry Lake from our lovely dining room or have a massage in our state of the art Fitness Center/Spa. The Red Apple Inn is celebrated its 50th Birthday in 2013. We completed a complete room renovation program in 2015. The Conference Center was renovated in 2016. We continue to refurbish/renovate exterior parts of the Inn as well as the grounds.

The place has the style, class and quality of service and fare few ever achieve. The room, the view, the ambiance are golden.
The food is always top of its class.
It’s not ridiculously priced and you can almost always get a table at the time of your choosing.
I don’t know why people from states away wouldn’t travel to this destination.
Add to it the lovely little nearby town and the awesome lake and it’s kismet!

+1
Red Apple Inn has done a masterful job at maintaining a wonderfully eclectic vintage feel while providing modern amenities. The restaurant was amazing! We had breakfast and dinner there everyday during our five day stay. The steaks were well seasoned and cooked to temperature, the blackened halibut was a smidge dry but still good, the desserts were wonderful and I loved the avocado toast for breakfast. Cocktails were a bit pricey once you factor in the liquor tax but still enjoyable. The room was very spacious with a unique retro vibe. We stayed on first floor and had walk out patio where we enjoyed morning coffee while watching the deer frolic. The only changes I would like to see to the rooms is the addition of a mini fridge and a better coffee pot.
The golf course was nice and offered a stunning view from hole #2, however, it was not as well maintained as we expected. Be sure and take bottled water and bug spray with you; if you buy at the pro shop the water will cost you $4 and the bug spray will set you back $10.
The grounds of the resort were breathtaking! Lots of natural stone, waterfalls and fountains made for some very relaxing pool time. I was disappointed in the obvious lack of housekeeping and general grounds upkeep. Housekeeping was hit or miss and overall below par for this type of resort. The biggest disappointment was the trash cans around the resort. It seemed daily trash was overflowing and collecting in piles around the trash can. Overall this is a beautiful resort and we will definitely be back.

Thank you for letting us know of your experience during your recent stay. We are glad to hear you found your dining was great. We will pass on your housekeeping complaint as we normally get very good marks in that area. We have found it a bit uneven due to no maid service unless requested, etc. Some guests don't read our information sheet to know how and when to get the service. Almost all our coffee pots are Cuisinart and less than two years old, but will take your suggestion into account in the future. We had actually planned on an outside landscaping renovation this spring, but the virus put a stop to that for now. There must have been a mistake on the water pricing, as we charge $2.00 a bottle, but the bug spray is a very large bottle of Cutter and it is in fact $10. Thank you again for your suggestions and feedback and look forward to your return visit.

I visited the Red Apple Inn recently for a business conference. The Red Apple is in a peaceful location near Greers Ferry Lake. My room was spacious with a porch. The last two times I have attended my conference at the Inn, there has been a cold snap the first week of April. The big drawback of the rooms is that the heating system looks like it is from the 1970s. My unit did not put out much heat. It was a good thing that it wasn’t real cold.
We had a very good dinner meal at the restaurant. When I was working in the Heber Springs area years ago, I would often times go to the Inn for lunch. My favorite was the Cobb salad. It was the best Cobb I have ever eaten. I didn’t have time for golf on this trip, but I have enjoyed playing golf at the Red Apple in years past. The RA is a good place for a retreat.

I would like to file a complaint about your golf shop manger Trey. He was incredibly rude when I was trying to make a tee time reservation. Your employee lacked respect and talked down to me when I was simply asking him questions. I have spent a lot of money at your establishment and feel like your staff needs to be better trained in communicating with guests. I am on my vacation with my family here for Labor Day weekend and just trying to play a round of golf. I was told to call back to see if they would open course later due to rain. I have contacted other courses in the area and they have been open all morning. If this was a one time event I would look past it, but this is the second time I have experienced his rudeness this summer. We will make sure to not book anymore vacations at red Apple inn and I will be informing all my friends and family of this situation.

I really can’t say enough about this quaint little inn located deep in the country side of Heber Springs, Arkansas. The fireplace room was perfect in every way. The grounds were superb. You were so welcome to just roam around and explore. The wait staff was so accommodating as was the housekeeping staff. The food was excellent as we ate all of our meals on the property. The mixologist at the bar, Dylan, Rachel and Abigail was outstanding. They were so informative and friendly. All three made the time to talk to you personally and never made you feel rushed. The hot tub and steam room were very clean and inviting.
The golf course was in excellent condition. From the tee boxes to the greens, I felt as if I was playing on a televised PGA golf course.
Once you check in there is really no need to leave the property. Everything is within very close walking distance.
We will definitely be visiting Red Apple Inn again.

The Red apple inn is a gem in Heber Springs. It has been around for many years but the 2015 updates have added much to bring it into the time. The rooms are large and very comfortable. No microwaves or refrigerators but it does have a coffee maker. Unfortunately, our room faced the parking lot (uneven rooms), so try to get an even number room so you face the lake or forest.
The large fire pit was warm on a chilly night & great for meeting new people. The bar was cozy & Dillon took care of our orders perfectly.
The dining room does not take reservations so you’ll want to arrive early if you want a table facing the lake. We had breakfast there twice & both times I had the banana nut pancakes. Absolutely delicious. Also, the Sedona Benedict was to die for ( it’s Hugh so you may want to share).
This is a Country Club so there would normally be many activities however, it rained most of the weekend & most activities are close for winter (except for golf). Wonderful hiking trails.
Very friendly staff & we would definitely recommend.
I gave only 4 stars because I asked for a view and got the parking lot. Wish I had known about the even-odd rooms).

My wife and I chose this golf resort for a getaway weekend. Very nice golf course and rustic style rooms which matches the area.
Just be aware of their hat policy for the only restaurant on the premises. They have a conspicuous sign that says “No hats!” If your golfing and want a quick breakfast for energy before your tee time, you have to remove your golf hat! Your only other option is to drive 5 miles into town to eat.
The hat policy comes from the days when men wore fedora hats even when dressed up. It was etiquette back in the day to remove the hat upon entering a building. This establishment has simply not evolved with the changing culture. Good luck with the millennial generation!

Hello again. Since you made multiple posts regarding the "hat incident" (and TA requires a response from us), I'll just confirm we addressed your issue on another site. I will make one addition to your statements in that we have many millennial members and/or millennial children of members who just take our policy in stride. We seldom ever receive a complaint about the policy, but certainly want to address them when received (as we did with your previous post). As you can see, we generally receive 5 stars and always hate to see when a guest has had a bad experience. We hope you return for a visit soon.

6 of us stayed here for 1 night. The rooms are stunning (see pics), very clean also.
We had a drink in the bar which was served by friendly & Knowledgeable people.
We then had dinner in the main restaurant. The views are spectacular from here. Great service throughout the meal and the food all perfectly cooked. We could not have asked for more.
The only minor downside was the time it took to get breakfast next morning, I had to go & hunt down a server 🥺. Food was good though.
I would highly recommend visiting The Red Apple Inn.

On June 25 Bartlett TN. experienced a horrible storm with straight line winds leading to major power outages. we had been visiting in Heber Springs at a Airbnb check out was the next day at 10:00 am long story short my husband is disabled and we had previously stayed at the Red Apple INN my husband tried to call but the desk was closed he left a message. The next morning someone gave us a call back. Not only did she find us a room but allowed us to check-in at noon. Everyone there was so friendly and accommodating they gave us a cool room, great atmosphere and amazing food. Thank You so much.

What a delightful change of pace in a beautiful and charming setting. From the time we entered the lobby, Eric, Red Apple Inn ambassador extraordinaire, made it his mission to provide us with extraordinary service and kindness. He pointed out much of the Inn’s interesting history, and assisted us with every need or question.
We had wonderful meals in the dining room with great service and spectacular views.
We also thoroughly enjoyed drinks in the bar with outstanding service from Josh and Tyler!

Hello,
Our suites have a Jacuzzi Tub, but not hot tubs. We do have a very large hot tub in our Fitness Center as well as a steam room.
No, I'm sorry. As of the first of this year, we changed to a non-smoking hotel. However, most of our rooms have balconies or patios with ash pots for the smokers to enjoy.
Thanks for your interest in coming to the Red Apple Inn. We do have a few pet rooms available and there is a $50 once time pet fee that we charge. These are nice rooms, but they are not the newly renovated rooms at the Inn. We will complete all room renovations at the end of the year. Please let me know if I may help in any way.
Sincerely,
David C. Smith
