Our whole group of 10 had the place to ourselves. Unfortunately we missed the evening safari due to the rain that they had the days before we got there. We had a quick tour of the lodge before our guide left. We unfortunately got there pretty late and had to run to the local grocery store for food. The store...

Had the most wonderful stay here in a party of 12 (couples and family members included). Definitely recommend going to the elephant interaction too - Rachel, Rambo and Jambulani were a real treat! After two lengthy safari rides, viewing the most beautiful animals, you were able to relax by the fire in the evening in a truly stunning setting. The...

We didn't stay at the lodge. We were booked on the elephant interaction through a different lodge, so this review is for that aspect only. We have been on many safaris and done "elephant back" tours. This interaction surpassed all previous experiences. The entrance and tour area aren't much to look at, and given the drought the landscape is particularly...

We didn't stay at the lodge but we did go and do the elephant interaction, WOW what a experience, we got to meet and feed 3 elephants. The guide is very good and really do look after these beautiful animals.

Bayete Zulu is definitely one of the best game reserves I've been visiting so far. The lodge is located on a hill, the deck and the small pool overseeing the whole valley. The view from them is astonishing. Elephants passed by in front of us. Besides the heigth guarantees less humidity and way less bugs than down in the valley...

I went into this experience with a game drive as one of the top experiences on my bucket list and because of this my expectations were unreasonably high. Bayete Elephant Experience exceeded those expectations. The luxury lodge is exactly that. The rooms are beautiful. The game drive's themselves gave me everything I wanted and more. We saw all of 'The...

We went with four families (19 people in all) for three nights and four days. We booked out the entire camp which has about 10 rooms. Each room is en suite with Aircon. Rooms are serviced daily. This is self catering except that the lodge kitchen staff did all the cooking and clearing up afterwards! Best of both worlds. This...

The guide was amazing, you are told the elephants story first and then they make their own way into the pens. They genuinely love human interaction and the elephant handlers spend the whole day with them to keep them happy but don't control where they go at all. You get to feed the elephants, touch them and learn all about...

We stayed at nearby Rhino River Lodge and drove up to Bayete Zulu. I have already previously done an elephant interaction with friends near JHB but my husband missed out due to work commitments. He wasn't fussed either way but found the experience fantastic. When we saw Rambo walking over the hill, honestly, I just thought ... WT#?!!! He is...

We visited having had 4 fantastic nights at nearby Leopard Mountain Game Lodge on the recommendation of our daughter, who loved it. Unfortunately our visit coincided with a large tour group. Whilst the talk was interesting, it was very short as most of the time was taken processing a large queue of visitors (30 people) looking to have their photo...
