We stayed in this lodge as it is near the rainforest where we were searching for lemurs and other wildlife. We arrived at night so had no idea what wonderful views would welcome us at daybreak. The lodge is situated on a hillside near to the rainforest so is quite popular and busy. It is basic but clean. Rooms are...

We didn't stay here but had lunch and breakfast here a couple of days. Me and my partner are both vegetarian and they didn't have any options for us. They happily accommodated us and even brought out a delicious cheese platter on the house. Lovely chef and staff and moderate wifi.

My room in this lodge was clean, but not elegant. WIfi is available for free, but only in the restaurant and deck outside the restaurant. Food was OK. Each room has a standing fan, which circulated enough air to make sleeping comfortable, even in hot summer weather. I could hear the lemurs calling in the forest from the grounds of...

A chalet based hotel located on a hillside. Good sized room and facilities. Well placed for local national parks. Food and breakfast good. Apart from chalet itself there was little relaxing area for guests and if the hotel was full this was soon occupied. Wifi in Restaurant / reception only. Thunder storm cut power but staff assisted our dash to...

We had a two night stay organised by our tour company. On arrival there was a friendly welcome and a welcome drink and we were asked to choose our dinner from a short menu. We were told that the electricity would go out in our rooms from 6pm. We settled into our room which was just above the reception/restaurant. The...

The setting is beautiful, you can see the beautiful mountains, the hotel is built to take advantage of the view and setting. It is close to the park entrance. The rooms are large and comfortable but basic

The rooms are basic but are a good size, clean and bright. Service in the restaurant was good but food was mediocre. Great views from the patio and rooms located higher up the hill and location is close to national park and the Centre Valbio. Power is cut for a number of hours a day so make sure you have...

Located in a hilly area within wet tropical forest, and within 1.1 miles of Ranomafana National Park, this lodge offers 20 comfortable, spacious rooms within 10 bungalows (much like small duplexes) that are built on four terraced levels. Thankfully, my spouse and I were on level 2 from the dining/reception area. Each room has a cement area outside the door...

We spent a night here, and it was OK. Not very special in any way, but clean, and relatively friendly. Full-board plans only, I think, so we had dinner and breakfast at the lodge before going to the park and continuing on. The Ranomafana park was the most disappointing stop on our entire two-week trip on Madagascar, and I would...

Close to the park entrance and with a great view over the first and valley, but this is where the plus points end! The rooms are set up the hill from the reception and dining room. Ours was dark and damp. Where other rainforest lodges provide dehumidifiers, Setam warns it will fine you if you attempt to dry clothes in...
