The bungalows are set into the wooded hillside and are LARGE. Ours was an open-plan split level with a seating area downstairs and the bedroom and separate bathroom above. Sadly, we couldn't enjoy it fully as there was a power cut affecting the whole town that evening. Nevertheless, the dining area had a generator so we had lights, hot food and WiFi. I would happily stay here again... as long as the power was on!
Very nice hotel in the midst of everything. Its very close to park entrance. Very good for night walks. We visited all parks from there, Andasibe and Mitsui. We went to Vakona lodge too And excellent food
Huge rooms in bugalows set in quiet and pretty surroundings but very poorly lit and you’ll need a torch after dark to help find your room. On the positive the position meant it was quiet and there were no barking dosgs which was a problem elsewhere. Rooms were large, rather cold and lacking in electricity – I had only one plug working which made it difficult when you wanted light as well as to be able to charge equipment. The shower water was tepid at best. Food was OK and WiFi in Reception was good too but did not extend to the bedrooms. All in all, this was adequate but nothing special.
Great food, wide variety of options available in the menu (a-la-cart) which was a nice change from most of the other hotels we had dined at which offer only set menus. Soup was a great starter too - recommended.
Pros : new good pool & loungers. Large double bed & mosi nets. Close to national parks. Bird observation deck on a small lake. Large semidetached bungalows. Cons : Average food , lots of soup. Wi-fi only works near reception. No air conditioning.
Our bedroom was huge with pretty mosquito nets over the large bed. There was a cupboard, safe, fridge and tea making facilities. There was also a second bedroom with twin beds and a very long hallway to the shower room, basin and separate toilets. When entering that area lights came on automatically. There was also a sofa, coffee table and two little tables. A TV was provided with just a few channels. By reception there was a small seating area (and TV) where you could pick up Wi-fi. Breakfast was basic and the evening meal OK though not a lot of choice, and soup seemed to appear very frequently. There is a lovely (new I think) swimming pool with a few loungers round it. It is walkable to the small town but I don’t think there is much to see there. The nearby reserves are great for lemur spotting and at Vacona Lodge “Lemur Island” the Lemurs jump onto your shoulders and are very friendly. It is necessary to go across about 20 metres in a canoe. To the right of the main building is water with a walkway going out over it. …
With Semi-detached bungalows, cut into the hillside, the rooms were clean, very spacious, well furnished and had a safe. The shower room was large and the shower provided plenty of hot water. The WiFi only worked in the reception and dining areas. The restaurant provided plenty of choice and portions were large. We were able to have very early breakfasts prior to heading off into the forests to find wildlife. I would happily stay here again.
Because of a road conditions and traffic we arrived to Andasibe Hotel 4 hours later than expected (10 pm). The restaurant was closed already but they prepared a warm dinner for us and brought it to the rooms. The rooms are so spacious! Really great! And have heating which was needed during a winter time. Also the service was great! Especially one young lady in the reception who seems to be there 24/7! Wifi only in the lobby but it is pretty fast. The location and views are superb too. Highly recommended!
We really liked this hotel, the room was cold however they had a small electric radiator in the room. The room was really spacious with a very comfortable bed. Tea and coffee in the room which was an added bonus, The bathroom was nice, powerful hot shower which was much needed! The staff were really nice and helpful. We didn't eat at the hotel but the food looked nice and the prices reasonable. I would recommend a stay here!
A nice hotel comprising spacious bungalows in lovely gardens with a river. An extensive menu of food, all of which seems frozen and reheated - terrible food. I strongly recommend not to opt for any board basis other than room only. Rooms and bedding have a slightly musty smell and feel, due to the damp rain forest location. Reasonable hot shower Clean Some staff poorly trained
