Spent one night here. We got a room at a buildig they said were prett newly built. The room was not big but enough for us two and our luggage. Everything woked fine compared to other hotels we had under our 2 weeks trip. Would rate the room in the top half. We ate out dinner at the hotel and it was OK nothing fancy but well made. The service was quick and responsive. Need to mention that we were there on a monday and I beleive we only were 3 people at the hotel when looking at the tables for breakfast! Seems this hotel is mostly used Thur-Sunday for Tana people. The price of the hotel was extremely good 18€

We stayed here for a night. Our room was clean and comfortable. We ate at the restaurant 2 times and the food was good. We didn't have much time to explore the hotel grounds so I can't say much about it.

Stayed one night, pre-ordered eggs for breakfast the night before, (in Malagasy), they denied knowledge although it was prepaid. Paid one person the hotel account, other staff accused me of not paying. This place is nuts, avoid it! Very basic hotel with a nice garden.

For some time, I live at Ampefy for work. I had dinner a few times at this restaurant. The place is nice, with a nice terrace on a small lake. It's clean and tidy too. The service is incredibly slow, but in Madagascar slowness is perhaps mandatory. The dishes are good but, sincerely, nothing special: "local" flavors are too conditioned by a French influence: maybe they do it to show themself "classy"; but I do not love French cuisine. However I can not say that there is bad eating! Only, I prefer places where it's possible to eat traditional dishes.

We stayed here for two nights on a cycling trip. The pool looked great but we had no time to use it. The food was good - it's best to order well in advance. Our group ordered a couple of hours in advance for supper each night to help the kitchen. Lovely views over the lake. We experienced a tremendous storm one night and power cut - the hotel has its own generator and provides each room with a lantern - presumably power cuts are fairly frequent! The gardens are lovely and well maintained.
