We arrived on a Cessna Caravan onto an airstrip that is minutes away from the Lodge. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Our luggage was already there when we got to our "tent". #13 was lucky for us with a large deck looking out onto the reserve. The room was large with a king size comfortable bed, great bathroom...

Expert local guides, intimate game viewing, comfortable accommodation, friendly knowledgeable staff and good food: Khwai River Lodge has it all. Luggage restrictions are necessary because the plane to get here is very small (pilot and 5 passengers maxm) but you don't need elaborate camera equipment because the guides can get the vehicles very close to the animals. Your room is...

This is the largest, though not by much, of the three Orient Express camps in Botswana. It is in a great setting, on the river, with wildlife to view from the deck of the main lodge, as well as from each room. No fence, so escorts are necessary after dark. One night an elephant decided to do some tree trimming...

We were on a tour which took us to Kuwait river lodge so we didn't choose it. It was part of the package but we loved it. The "tents" had everything we needed and were very comfortable. The balcony overlooking the little river and land was ever changing. We could count on something beautiful and interesting to be within our...

This is a marvelous place in the middle of Africa. Far more than I expected. Great rooms. We were part of a Tauck Tour. Wonderful food. Best brie of the trip. The guides couldn't do enough for us. The singing when we arrived was a show stopper.

An absolutely GREAT Orient Express Safari Lodge in Central Botswana. Super food, facilities & staff. Could not recommend it more highly. We stayed here as part of Jane Lee & Larry Winters, Town & Country Travel Group's 2013 trip.

Our stay at the Khwai River Lodge was part of a Tauck tour. This is my idea of the perfect way to go tent camping in the wilderness. Each "room" is a separate tent-like structure facing the Khwai River. Each tent has a huge porch, spacious living area and attached bath suite. The tents have air conditioning for warmer weather,...

Like in a picture perfect postcard, you can view elephants, hippos and other magnificent wildlife from your luxurious and comfortable lodges. Very personable and efficient service and knowledgeable guides make this spot fantastic for safari yours but also for some relaxing moments. Only things should be addressed by management are the food that is too basic for a luxury resort...

Khwai river is the friendliest camp I have ever been, it is also so well run. The people who work there are so nice, the make you feel at home. The hotel has great decor in keeping with the african theme. The bar and dining room very comfortable. They even have a small spa. The rooms are semi tented rooms...

From the moment we arrived it surpassed all of our expectations. The team led by Juan, Alzaane and Tsebo, were faultless and impeccable, the warmth of their welcome continued throughout the stay. The accommodation was pure luxury with every attention to detail. The game drives were truly exceptional all down to the fantastic skills of our guide Rock. The best...
