Stayed with a group of 10 as part of our safari. Staff were very welcoming. We were allocated the "huts" right out the back and found them very clean and comfortable.(I had one to myself) Loved the outside shower. Buffet dinner was great with a fair variety, kudu stew was excellent. Drinks were a bit pricey but not too bad....

Camping visitors are definitely the bottom of the food chain! Reception was on a par with most RSA government departments - unhelpful & made to feel that you are wasting their time! Campsites were not well prepared & fireplaces were dysfunctional. Ablution blocks had no shower curtains so our block flooded right through to the toilet. No hooks to hang...

We stayed in Pelican lodge during a transit from Kasane to Pretoria. The pelican lodge is clearly new built and therefore in good shape. The buildings show that we are in ‘thatch country’. Really every building is covered with thatch roofing. So are all promenades between the buildings. No need to walk in direct sunlight at daytime or in cold...

Clean and comfortable lodges some distance from the main part of the lodge. Very cold at night with no extra blanket available. Very cold having a shower as only a curtain to the outside shower which let's in too much breeze.

Poor service. Food was undercooked one night. Very noisy when trying to sleep, goats walking around and their bells dangling through the whole night. Staff needs training. Poor communication skills. There was no water in our room when we stayed the night. Their breakfast was not on time, as a matter of fact they were 20 minutes late. Not a...

Second time we took a group here. Same time there was some sort of conference hosted there (maybe government meeting). My only complaint was the terrible noise/party that happened around the fire pit in the middle, until I went to quiet them at two in the morning. I was very concerned about my guests. For the rest all was good,...

Barely adequate as a one-night stop for the Western traveler, it's a pretty big resort without much charm, comfort or character. Inexcusably, the (large) pool's water was not only freezing cold, but totally slimy with algae on the walls and bottom floor, and mosquito larvae swimming everywhere. Yuk! The food (served at a large buffet) was not very exciting, and...

The size of the room at Pelican Lodge is very big compared to many of the other places I stayed at during my travels in Africa. I loved the tall ceiling which was done in thatch. The bathroom was very large. It had its own toilet area, bathtub with a hand held shower head, and the neat outside shower. It...
