I had to stay at the Punta Palma for 3 weeks on a business trip last month. I can understand the political and economical situation of Venezuela that has definitely impacted the hotel, lack of food at breakfast buffet (no bread and no more than 10 items), no foreign TV channels, no wifi in the rooms, elevators not working, air... This place has gone from decent to barely decent in the verge of horrible nightmare!!! First, if you have an iPhone or apple product you won't be able to use the wifi from your room!! Only from the lobby if it connects or the restaurant!! At the time of going into my room, the mold has taken over the roof... More

The hotel is perfectly situated in front of the sea. The view from the room is beatiful, bed confortable, the bathroom is ok. But the service is terrible, the swimming pool can be used until 6 pm. The food it's ok but not good.

Travel for business, arrived on a Saturday, the service overall sucks but it is Venezuela!!! However we were paying a lot of money but for this people don't understand the meaning of customer service! The room was a bomb back in the 80s; however the view was beautiful. The room inc the bathroom was poorly maintained and the smell of... More

The facilities and rooms were old and tired and in need of updating. Staff themselves were friendly and helped wherever poss. Reception staff however were very very slow. Food was good, lots of fish and fresh food readily available.

This hotel is definately not more than 3 european stars. The rooms are old and waisted. The food is disgusting and the wifi works only in the lobby. The pool looks pretty nice though. The service is pretty bad and the prices are way too high!i try never to come back here.

This is just an expensive but awful place. Rooms are horrible. Bathrooms are in bad shape and outdated, with mold on the tiles. Rooms are not soundproof, so noise from hallway was an issue. Rooms have a strong humidity smell. Breakfast was just ok, but dinner was bad.

First time to the hotel. Manual check-in, the staff gave the room remote tv (I guess people stealing stuff here) and found out that some of the remote button is not working anyway. Very old building. Went in to the room, was very shock with the smell of carpet in the corridor. (see pic), it is like 100 years old... More

old furniture, stoneaged bathrooms, bad bad service (even for the venezuelan standards). The view from the room is so good, but the hotel needs an overall renovation. The pool is beautiful, a nice bar next to it during night is a perfect date place. But, need to order everithing you need once you sit, cos service is too slow and... More
