The location of the Lodge is amazing. The service was great. Due to the fact that there were plenty of moskitos, we missed the moskitos net either on the windows or on the beds. The garden could be better well looked after as this would only require man power... José, the guide who accompanied us on on 2 day tour... More

Stayed there in FEB 2014 but was due to write a good review as they deserve it. For us it was the best lodge in Canaima. The service was exceptional and people flexible to organize your tours or requests , the amenities very well kept and it gives you the best confort you can get in the middle of the... More

We stayed at Tapuy as part of a trip to Angel Falls. We arrived late morning at the little airport and were met by Jose, our guide, and taken to the lodge. We only had one night at the lodge and unfortunately our room had no hot water and the air conditioner did not have an external outlet for the... More

Two weeks ago I visited Canaima National Park in Venezuela and I stayed at Tapuy Lodge. The lodge is situated at a beautiful place in front of the lagoon and it has a beautiful view of the falls. The personnel was very attentive and helpful with everything. I would definitely recommended.

We stayed there in January 2015. This place was amazing and we will definitely be coming back. A great value for the money. The rooms are nice and comfortable, common areas were roomy. The food was excellent. Staff are amazing and very helpful!!

We visited Canaima at the end of January 2015. It was an amazing experience, we were a group of 25 people, bedrooms were really comfortable they had hot water and a/c. The food was great, the staff were really friendly and supportive. We would definitely go back and stay in Tapuy Lodge.

Our stay at Tepuy Lodge was mediocre. The food was pleasant, the staff was attentive, even though they were slow at times. For the excursions they were largely uninformative and out of touch. Hard to organize plans with their support, and they were really largely running around and out of touch. The rooms and accommodations are decent. The rooms have... More

Tapuy Lodge is the newest posada in Canaima and considered one of the upper-tier ones that's why we decided to stay there in our trip after finding out Waku Lodge was fully booked. The experience was beyond dreadfull we were part of a 90 person group that were divided between Waku Lodge, Tapuy Lodge and Venetur and in the 5... More

I'm not sure where we were supposed to stay, but this place was considered an "upgrade" and it sure was worth it! We decided to splurge (an extra $25 per person) because we thought we would be tired after the long trip to/from Salto Angel, and this place would be our pre-trip relaxation spot. It's location is perfect on the... More

Tapuy Lodge is definitely the best location for you to enjoy your stay in Canaima. Very friendly staff, good food and great location, with a view on the cascades and location in the town of Canaima. We really enjoyed the tours offered, with the high flexibility of the hotel manager: we changed to stay a night in Angel Falls (must... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
This Lodge was built in 2006 and is one of the three hotels located directly on the beach of the famous Canaima Lagoon, one of the most beautiful places in Venezuela. From the beach you will have a stunning view over the various waterfalls and the majestic Table-top Mountains “Cerro Venado” and “Cerro Kursari”. The lodge has been built according to the typical Indigenous style to fit into the landscape, combining tradition with modern life. “Tapuy“ means “roof of a big palm tree” in Pemon language. Spend some time in our rustic restaurant or the bar in an indigenous-style Churuata, just a few steps away from the rooms. Our staff will spoil you with national, international or indigenous-style meals. There are 16 superior rooms that have been tastefully decorated and include air conditioning and a fan. Bathrooms are fully equipped and include a bathtub and all amenities. ... more   less
