I spent 5 nights here last week on business. I don't generally have great expectations when travelling in PNG so was pleasantly suprised by the overall standard of the hotel and by the attentive service of the staff. The food is EXCELLENT! Such a relief after a few weeks in PNG eating food that could best be descibed as mediocre.... More

Staff very helpful and friendly. But some need more training in customer service. Food is very nice and tasty, make sure you give yourself plenty of time at meal times as things are a bit slow. A good place to stay.

This hotel has a very good restaurant but the rest of it is totally overrated & it is questionable whether it deserves 4 star status,It is 2 stories high but there is no lift .When I arrived it was obvious reception were not properly trained,in the room there was no aircon control ,none of the wifi codes they gave me... Thank you for your feedback regarding your stay. The absence of a lift within the hotel is mainly due to East New Britain being an earthquake prone region therefore when the hotel was constructed emphasis was placed on a staircase rather than a lift. For the last few months we have experienced extremely poor internet service and phone outage due... More

I've been here many times and kept coming back because of the superior food. Last night I was here again. Peruvian Ceviche is a must from the menu, as well as carpaccio. We had grilled steaks which were delicious. The servers are sometimes lacking but that never blurs the experience.

Went there with 3 other friends during a leisure trip - dropped in for lunch. Delicious freshly made food, excellent service, fabulous verandah location in a cool breeze, and average market prices. Really enjoyed our lunch and didn't want to leave. Had a look around the resort and wished I had stayed here instead of the Rabaul Hotel.

The room was clean, the staff was exceptional especially the food and beverage staff. The chef is from Portugal with a flair for speciality foods with a twist. The front desk staff was not always informed but aimed to please. The tours were not true for the advertisement and they offered prices and they were higher prices for Americans and... More

Located at the edge of one of PNG's more renowned golf courses, the Gazelle has beautiful views accriss Blanche Bay to the Tavurvur volcano. The rooms are clean and spacious but the cheap Asian fittings - while perhaps a great/cheap idea urging planning & construction - are really now showing their worth. The building itself is quaint and stylish for... More

Gazelle international offers discounted price this Xmas. An ideal place to spend your location. Food is good too. It is also located on the old site belonging to Queen Emma. Those wishing to see the Mask festival would prefer Gazelle International Hotel because of its close vicinity to the show grounds and golf fields.

We stopped for lunch in emma's restaurant while on a tour with a small group of 8 people. I thought this would be a good opportunity to sample some local fish but I was very wrong. To put it simply, the food was terrible and I couldn't eat it. I travel a lot and I would rate this as the... More

We stayed there because we wanted to be right next to the mask festival, which literally next door ! The food was great and it was good place to stay at with family before going out and exploring the rest of Kokopo, Rabaul and East New Britain Province.
