Explora is an amazing concept, I love it. We had an amazing stay there. The service was amazing and the food delicious, absolutely awesome! All the excursions were fantastic with amazing guides. The room is fantastic. Everything was great. They even organised a lunch on one of the days on the south coast, it was great. I cannot thank the... More

If any of you are on the fence about whether this place is fun for kids, please continue to read. My seven year-old twin boys loved the entire experience here and were sad to leave. Though we were the only family at the hotel, we were treated with the same exceptional service as each of the guests. Every single member... More

Our visit to Rapa Nui was an interesting, relaxing and fun vacation. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The food was amazing and we enjoyed meeting our fellow travelers. One of the highlights was having lunch on a bluff overlooking the ocean.

Location: remote from town; rural Appearance: modern; wood & glass; sharp contrast from rural setting. Arrival: picked up from airport and taken directly to hotel. Curved deck/stone path leads to quaint check-in area. Bags taken to room. Lobby: Large, bright, with wi-fi and ample seating where guests can relax. Includes a two-sided bar and contiguous with restaurant. Stairs: none, except... More

We decided to visit Chile, and one big decision was whether to make the long plane trip (5 hours) from Santiago to Easter Island. Do it. There is one flight per day on Latam. If you can afford to, fly business class. A wonderful 787 with very comfortable business class seats. It is hard to find words to describe Explora... More

I've stayed at other places on Easter Island, and without question explora is the best. From their tour guides to cleaning staff, everyone is very friendly and professional – the hotel has its own educational program for the guides and provides some of the best and most thorough tours, while the cleaning staff keep everything spotless, which is really impressive... We love, love this hotel. We've stayed at several lodges like this in other locations (Peru, Africa and Ecuador) and this was one of the best. All of the meals were delicious, the wine selection yummy and they took extra care to prepare kid-friendly meals for our 10 year old son. Each day you will have your choice of over... More

Everything about our stay at Explora was absolutely amazing: the explorations, the facilities, the service, the food, the location. It was just a breath taking experience and worth every penny. I highly recommend Explora if you would like to explore the island and be pampered a little.

Explora Rapa Nui (Easter Island) Wonderful in every aspect, do not think twice about booking to stay here, just book it and make sure you book for a minimum of 4 nights/5 days. Our tour operator (Cox & Kings) only booked us in for 3 nights, which having gone all that way was ridiculous, saying that would be more than... More

Second stay at an Explora lodge – having stayed in Patagonia a couple of years back which was spectacular in an amazing setting in the Torres del Paine. The architecture of the Explora lodge is enthralling – see the book in the lounge area that features the architect/designer. Easter Island is a different pace but equally wonderful, compared to Patagonia,... More
