Up front, while there are things that the hotel could do better, you will not find a better all-around hotel for you on Easter Island. The hotel is stunning with great food, amazingly comfortable beds, very powerful shower, modern but green style. The hotel is all-inclusive: meals (which are amazing - the home made bread is mind-blowing), all beverages including... More

We had been to explora Atacama and last year combined Patagonia and Rapa Nui. We were at Rapa Nui on New Years Eve. It was a unique place to be and the staff went all out. Beautiful hikes across the island, snorkeling was amazing and always beautiful scenery.

Fabulous, far exceeded expectations, every room has a beautiful scenic view across to the hills and the sea. Sunrise from bed was unmissable. Simple wood and concrete sounds awful but well designed and stylish Separate toilet/bidet, separate shower/ bath - be aware shower is over the bath - slippy Double sinks, comfy bed and very edgy upmarket toiletries and gifts... Before saying anything about Explora, I have to mention that Rapa Nui is a unique destination and a great experience. Nature and history combined in a perfect way! So glad I have been there, it was on the top of my Bucket list and it reached every expectation. Having said that, I cannot think of a better place to stay... More

I just spent 5 nights at the Explora Hotel on Easter Island. The Explora offers an all inclusive experience complete with expert guides (Estefan was fantastic!), transportation, great rooms and good food. The island is a hiker's paradise for people who enjoy the outdoors, rain or shine. The most extensive hike is a 10 mile journey across the northern coast,... More

Went with the family (two young kids under 10) and loved every minute. Modern hotel with all the amenities you need. Fantastic guides. All alcohol, food and excursions are included (not cheap) but we took advantage of every excursion and came away with fond memories. If you coming from far and want to maximise your trip - Explora hotel is... More

The explora is like fancy camping, complete with welcome dancers and wonderful people. We had a wonderful time and found the hotel to be a warm and welcoming place to come home to after being gobsmacked by Moai. The internet is sketchy, which is the only downside. But, then, it is good to unplug every so often

The biggest challenge was the booking (communication) of expectations. Once booked, it was 100% a pleasure and met our expectations. Great facilities and staff. Tremendous gastronomy. Able to cater to us as vegan, gluten-free eaters very well. Matias the head chef took ownership of our food for the entire stay.
