The Rio Dorado Lodge is a clean, modern site that is very quiet and safe. I agree with many of these reviews on all the benefits. You are here for the fishing access and expertise. The owners are Annibal and Marta, very pleasant proprietors who have years of experience treating guests. Their son Juan knows every possible place to fish,...

The location is in a large lot, comfortable, but not close to the city center. Facilities are very good; ample rooms, adequately equipped; perfectly cleaned bathroom. Service is just enough. It is a good operational base to fish in the multiple rivers in the Junín´s area, provided you have mobility.

The Rio Dorado Lodge is a family owned and operated establishment. You can enjoy total privacy or interact with other guests in this 12 room establishment - your choice. And, if you want to interact with an Argentine family and learn more about the culture and food, etc., this is the place to do it. Be sure to order dinner...

We were very disappointed with our experience at Rio Dorado Lodge. We arrived by taxi from the bus station early in the afternoon on a very hot day. No-one seemed to know that we were expected and it took a while to convince them that we were. Once we got there the huge furnitureless room was swelteringly hot and there...

Spent a lot of time here while fishing the area and Juan was helpful in directing us to some good water. The rooms are large which is great when your toting around mass quantities of fly fishing gear. The beds are large and comfy and the property is large and well kept. The small yellow dog we aptly named Softtakes...

My wife and I being fly fishers have stayed at many of the lodges in Patagonia. The Rio Dorado ranks number "1" in our books. The owners Juan and Matilde Sacconi do a wonderful job making sure your stay is perfect. We have returned every year for 5 years and will continue in the future. The lodge is very quiet...

Over the past eight years, during our month long stays in Argentina, we have stayed in a number of excellent places in both Junin de los Andes, San Martin de los Andes, and other beautiful towns in Patagonia. Rio Dorado Lodge is one of the most outstanding. They have large, immaculately clean, and well appointed log built rooms, great beds,...
