We were in the cabin and it was warm, comfy, clean, spacious and had good wifi connection. You stepped out of the cabin door and the view was wonderful- we did have good weather. The breakfast is very good with fresh food and good quality food provided. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful. Fully recommend this hotel.
We arrived in El Chalten and received the friendliest, most informative welcome ever!! We received info on all the walking trails, with tips and recommendations. Our cabin was spotlessly clean, large with a window directly facing the mountains!! The cabin was very warm with a big bed, big wardrobe, adequate bathroom (towels and soaps included) and kitchen. The kitchen has a double electric hotplate with kettle, utensils, a pot & a pan, toaster and a small electric oven. The cabin has independent good WiFi. Breakfast was in the main hotel and was cereal, eggs (if you ask), croissants and various condiments. My only criticism is that the buildings directly opposite are currently being worked on (obviously not Kaulum’s fault) but if you’re out hiking all day it doesn’t matter. All the staff speak excellent English and are very very helpful. It is perfect for those who want to self cater (although the shops in El Chalten are fairly poorly stocked) and it’s very near the hiking trails. I would definitely recommend staying here…
Kaulem was a fantastic, cosy place to stay in El Chaltén. Just four rooms gives it a really relaxed atmosphere and the main central area (which doubles up as a cafe) has comfy sofas. Our room had views of the tip of Fitz Roy and an enormous bed. Breakfasts were filling with the usual fare of eggs, juices, fruit coffee and cereal. The staff were very helpful and provided useful advice - including arranging a bus to drop us further up the road to begin the Fitz Roy trek from a different route.
We loved staying here we were close walk to the hiking trails and Main Street. Very accommodating and helpful staff - they gave us great restaurant recommendations, beautiful rooms and lovely breakfast. Lots of local art to view or buy.
Really enjoyed our stay here, very friendly, really good breakfast and coffee/beer etc in afternoon. Staff were super helpful. Rooms very clean and great beds. The lounge is a wonderful place to hang around after a day on the mountain.
