Ivor picked us up in his boat for the beautiful 10 minute ride to the lodge which sits near the glacial lake across from spectacular glaciers - where we were greeted by his wife Pato. The proprietors made us feel as if it was our home right away. All of my expectations were surpassed - the rooms are beautiful and...

Pato and Ivor have created some kind of alchemy in their beautiful lodge in an extraordinary part of the world. The lodge sits on a lake about an hour outside El Chalten, with no other buildings and few other people in sight. You'll travel by car and then by boat - but the journey is worth it (and really, part...

This lodge is very special and is the only private property (for an exception of a small house and the Chilean border security patrol) and has views for days including the north face of Mt. Fitz Roy in the distance, Mt. Torre and the Vespignami Glacier right in front of the lodge. Full board and activities are included (breakfast, lunch/picnic)...

Pato and Ivor have created a special destination which surpasses every expectation - the lodge is located in a beautiful, remote region of Patagonia. A welcoming haven which encourages enjoying the environs - walking, photography, vista viewing, picnicing, yoga, new friends and great food. However, do not expect boundless internet connectability, mobile telephone access nor similar 21 century interruptions. This...

It was an amazing stay. The food was delicious, the hospitality second to none and the location was a dream. A drive down a dirt road to the beginning of a lake, and then a boat ride (or a hike) into the lodge, which sits nestled in a forest overlooking a glacier. OMG. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

To reach Aguas Arriba Lodge is a small trip in itself. However after a few days, the question is not wether you want to go back, it's when you will return. You will wander through the primal Patagonian forest on paths prepared by Patricia, surrounded by incredible trees. Back in the lodge you will be pampered in the nice living...

Aguas Arriba lodge, the owners, the guides, the chef, and the rest of the small staff were incredible. Our three night stay there was magical and we can't wait to return someday. The owners, Pato and Ivor, were so warm and accommodating. They truly made us feel like family. We took 5 hikes over out three days there and toured...

From the boat trip across Lake Desierto to our departure 3 days later this was a once in a lifetime experience. Hosts and owners Patricia "Pato" and Ivor made us very welcome throughout our stay. All meals were excellent. Pato's guided tours of nearby glaciers, mountains and lakes (Including lake crossings in their power boat) were well organized and relatively...

We spent to nights with our two teens very end of October. In a nutshell, we did love our stay in Aguas Arribas. - The location is fantastic; tough arriving to the lodge is not an easy task (the last 30+km are on a dirt road), the location is really, really fantastic. On the edge of a lake, facing a glacier...

We have been to the lodge in October - early spring. We have seen nature nicely starting the year. We have found there great People, fantastic accommodations. The chef and the staff were very good and we had to hike a lot to lose the calories. Highly recommended place to stay for nature loving people.
