We traveled with my husband on the first travel eases during the covid 19 pandemic. It was like finding the perfect refuge to escape from the claustrophobic city to the open nature after the prolonged confinement of 2020. One of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
Chalten Glamping with a View offers an immersive experience in nature without sacrificing any comfort. The domes are very cozy, clean, equipped with salamander stoves, beautifully decorated, with private bathroom and hot water. They all have incredible views of the Fitz Roy. There is something that no photograph can convey: the smell of wood and forest, which permeates everything.
The staff is extremely attentive without being intrusive. They are always available to provide advice on how to take advantage of your days traveling the best trails.
I cannot fail to mention that the food is innovative and excellent.

This was a unique and amazing experience to stay on the outskirts of the city in these extremely well constructed high-end eco-domes with unparalleled cuisine and service. I cannot recommend this enough for family or groups that are so much more interesting than staying at it hotel. The service was incredible and we were well taken care of. Not to mention the large echo Dome is a cool place to hang out to meet other people as well as to experience unparalleled cuisine

We were honoured to be the very first guests in Nicolas’ new project, and while first we did not really know what to expect it became the most memorable stay during our three week trip in Patagonia! The domes are located in a small forest outside of El Chalten (20-30 min walk or taxi’s always available for approx. $9) and are beautifully decorated. When weather permits you can even wake up seeing the peak of Fitz Roy mountain! Apart from the ‘private’ domes there’s a also a larger, common one where you can have really nice breakfast and (optional) dinner. Nicolás is a fantastic guy with extensive experience in hotel management, so you can be assured that he knows the definition of true hospitality! For example, don’t be surprised finding a hot water bottle in the bed when arriving back after dinner ;) If you’re looking for the perfect ‘glamping’ experience then this is your place! We sincerely hope to come back one day!

We highly enjoyed the experience of staying the domes. The people and service were great and the domes were beautiful. The view of the mountain from our dome was stunning. Just be prepared to be freezing in the morning, if you go to Chalten Camp during the shoulder seasons. There is a wood fireplace in the dome that keeps you warm when you go to sleep, and they will give you a hot water bottle to put in your bed. But when you wake up, the temperature of the dome is the same as the outside...which in our case was freezing! If they could just add a source of heat to the dome that would persist through the night, I would give this 5 stars. Regardless, it was a unique experience. You just have to go in knowing that your room will be cold in the morning.

We LOVED our stay at Chalten Camp! Our group of 3 friends stayed in a triple dome, which was so perfect and cozy. The team at camp was fantastic - thank you so much to Carina and Soledad, who we spent the most time with - offering wonderful service, great hiking advice, and such warmth (honestly, chatting with the team was a highlight of my stay). The food at camp was all exquisite and having a delicious lunch packed for a long day of trekking was an unbeatable touch. Of course, the location in term of the view of Fitz Roy and proximity to trailheads was perfect. We walked to the Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre trails, which added distance and time but was still manageable, and the walk is mostly flat/scenic. We also walked right from camp down to the river and were able to walk along a trail for a beautiful few hours. I very much hope to visit again!!

Found by chance and spontaneously booked, this camp is much more than camping. A lovingly designed and recently opened facility, which convinces with its personal charm. The two operators Sol and Nicolas are available for questions and make the stay unforgettable. Really a home away from home. We would like to come back.

I was lucky enough to be one of the first guests to stay at Nicolas's eco-domes and it was an amazing experience. The domes are even better than the pictures, beautifully appointed with incredible attention to detail and a craftsmanship that is sure to make them world famous. Nestled between the mountains they are a short taxi ride or a pleasant walk from the main town and boast spectacular views of Monte Fitz Roy. I booked very last minute and Nicolas was an incredibly accomodating and gracious host with great local knowledge of the area. I was lucky enough to meet some of Nicolas's friends and share stories over wine and if I'm ever back in the area I'll be very keen to partake in some of the tours they are planning - from electric mountain biking to wild salmon fishing, the area is a paradise for adventure seekers. In all it was a luxury experience that still felt authentic and true to its rugged (and wildly beautiful) surrounds.

I visited Argentina in 2017 and spent a couple of days in a hotel in El Chalten. Unfortunately, the weather was rather poor and there was practically no visibility during my one day allotted for trekking. Since then, I've been fixated on returning.

When I got a little more serious about the idea, I came to find out about Chalten Camp, and that discovery launched trip planning in earnest. In April 2024, I spent four nights at CC, and I am very pleased to say that it exceeded my (high) expectations. The natural setting is pristine, actually ridiculously so. The domes - and in particular, the beds - are comfortable and as well-appointed as you might expect. The main dome / dining area is quite wonderful; the mix of candlelight and music and excellent meals make every dinner a delight. Finally, the service and personal touch from all of the camp hosts is top notch and genuine. I will always think back with special fondness of my time at Chalten Camp, and perhaps one day I will return.

Chalten camp was an amazing place to spend 4 days in El Chaltén. My only regret is that we didn't book 5 days. Chalten camp is staffed by young travelers (Argentinian/Brazilian) who are working for the season. Their enthusiasm, dedication to taking care of guests and sharing some of their country and culture, and help in both English and Spanish made the stay delightful. You can see the first 1/3 of the Lagos de los Tres trail from your glamping tent. We were joking while walking that we could have stayed in bed for the same view. The views from the domes and the property are wonderful. Chalten Camp is a few km from town. El Chaltén is a bustling little town full of backpackers. It is a nice place to spend the day, and then Chalten camp is a nice, quiet retreat when you want to be closer to nature and further from the crowds. Chalten camp is well worth the price. Thank you, Chalten Camp!

It is exactly as the word tries to describe. It is glamorous, but you are camping. The best is luxuriously warm, the fire wonderful, but it got cold. Rather brisk in the morning. You walk a hundred yards or so to another dome for breakfast and dinner. The staff was wonderful, very friendly and helpful.

Hola Cecilia!
