Our triple room was basic but sufficient and clean. Very good value price with a basic but satisfactory breakfast included. The staff / administrative aspects of this hotel could use work. I had an awful time trying to book this place. The staff did not communicate well over email and had no way of taking credit card information over phone...

We stayed here for 3 nights. This was my first trip to El Chalten, and was surprised to find that the whole town was basically centered around the trails. The hotel location was convenient to the main trails, so we were very happy with this. The hotel is pretty basic, but considering where you are (middle of nowhere Patagonia), what...

We stayed 4 days during low season, the rooms are small but comfortable and clean. The place seemed to be sparsely staffed but we had everyone we needed. Price was right (low season) and well situated. Ample breakfast, well laid out open architecture. I recommend Poincenot, but if you need fast, consistent wifi, maybe not the best choice.

I booked a room (double bed) last minute for one night.  Room decor was tasteful, dark wood and they were not stingy with toiletries and towels. However - BIG NO-NO: very disappointed to see that the bedsheets were not clean. There were stains all over the duvet cover, pillowcase and mattress sheet. Breakfast was really terrible (even by Argentinian standards!)...

First of all, the hotel is in a great location close to the trailheads for Cerro Torre and Monte Fitz Roy. It is a 15-minute walk from the bus station, though, which might be a bit much with a lot of luggage (I had a roller bag so I was fine). The room was very nice with a comfy bed...

Turned up at 13:00 as my booking reference said that one could check in from then. There was no-one at the desk and no bell. There was a cleaner but she was looking at us as though we were the recently arrived trouble-makers in a western movie. After searching for another member of staff I found one who wouldn't check...

The room was nice and clean, large and comfy bed. The hotel overall is not cozy, feels like a place where you go for business. The girl at the front desk was absent and just polite, rarely greeted us or made eye contact, just stared at the computer every time we walked by. Good breakfast. Very warm inside.

We stayed there for one night, went trekking, and came back for one more night. Location - at the very end of the main street. Far from the bus station but close to the mountains and the starting points of the trails. Close to restaurants and supermarkets. Next to the place Chalten Travel buses depart from so it's pretty convenient...

We stayed at Hotel Poincenot for 3 nights. It's at the end of the main street, very convenient to the restaurants, shopping and trail heads. The room was very comfortable, neat and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good when compared to the breakfasts at other hotel we stayed at.

I stayed a few nights at this hotel in El Chalten. A newer hotel located on one of the main roads in the small town. Plenty of restaurants and bars close by. The staff were bilingual and very friendly and helpful. The room was a nice size and had a decent ensuite attached. There was a bit of noise from...

“The rooms were warm but the windows opened to let in cooler air. Occasionally there was a slight sewer smell in the bathroom, so check out the room first. The rooms face a center stair well so you may hear noise if people come in late…but we were so tired from hiking it didn't bother us.”
