We stayed at Phoenix Hollow because we wanted to visit the region and wanted a little taste of luxury after a few weeks of travel. We were not disappointed! We were given ideas from Kelly on where to dine that evening, and, knowing we would be late, we were invited beforehand to have a glass of sherry ( on our... More

The Phoenix Hollow far exceeded all of our expectations. The house is beautiful and well maintained of course. But, what really impressed us was the host, Kelly. Her attention for detail shows up in all aspects. Whether it is putting on jazz music in the living room with desserts and sherry waiting for you when you return for the evening... More

After our first journey driving on the wrong side of the road so arriving at Phoenix Hollow was a welcome sight. Kelly was very welcoming as gave iced water in the guest lounge which was most welcome. I was struck by the glorious décor as soon as I stepped in the door rich Victoriana all around, we were shown to... More

Thank you for your review and I am glad you enjoyed your stay with us :) The "sausage" is actually called fried bologna and is a maritime thing - and yes an acquired taste - but well done for giving it a try :) More

Our last two nights in Nova Scotia were spent at the Phoenix Hollow, we could not have wanted for a more elegant end to a fabulous weeks vacation. Our host Kelly was so warm and friendly on our arrival, she has brocheurs for area attractions and tells you of all the restaurants close by. Their home is a beautifull victorian... More

Two nights at this great b&b. Lots of 'free' extras to make stay comfortable......sherry and cookies in the guest parlour; bottled water and coffee in the room; great wifi connection and even Netflix if it rains or you just need a night in! Friendly but not intrusive owner, whose wonderful art adds to the decor. Well located for trips to... More

Our first time ever to Nova Scotia. Very nice accomodations and very comfortable. Kelly the innkeeper was a lot of fun and very helpful. Provided insight and directions into places and people to visit. Overall, we had a wonderful time.
