This is a "Hotel review" NOT a Restaurant review. Couldn't have found a better place if we'd tried. Clearly the Dragon has gone through a refurb in recent times and it shows and does it good. Our rooms, whilst on the small side, had everything we needed. bed, TV, in room Tea / coffee, with a good choice of drinks... More

We love the food here but have always had leek and laver bread burger. My daughter and I are veggies. We went there today to find they had gone from the menu! Disaster!! We substituted, but please bring it back. It's what we come for! Also a mint choc with coffee after lunch would have been good. Then it would... More

There fish and chips are very good - the rest of the menu, which is quite extensive I am sure is also very good. I just like their fish etc. A down side is the car park - the entrance is somewhat narrow, fold mirrors etc. once through the gap, plenty of room.

A party of 22 booked private room on a Saturday night, only to find that 14 other diners were in the same room. All meals were pre booked as well. The standard of the meals were mediocre go say he least and minimal in size. My main douse arrived with 2 small pieces of pork fillet about 1" x 1.5"... More

James, Please accept my apologies for the issues you had on your visit to us, this is not typical. Our food is normally of a very high quality and we are regularly receiving comments that our portion sizes are often too large so I do apologise and I can assure you your experience is not the norm here at the... We booked as a party of 9 for Sunday lunch. Not especially busy but everything seemed to take a long time between ordering and arriving at the table. We ordered some " nibbles" whilst people made their selection from the menu but about ten minutes later whilst we were ordering starters and mains they still hadn't arrived. Drinks took some... We booked a table as we expected it to be busy....and it was! The staff were friendly and welcoming. We had the mixed meat platter which had a selection of good quality cured meats...a fair sized portion. I had the venison steak with a rosti and a welsh whisky sauce. The venison was perfectly cooked and the sauce was delicious.... More

We booked this hotel for 8 of us as we were taking part in a charity Trek up Brecon Beacons. Lovely hotel, beautiful spacious rooms, amazing food and a scrummy breakfast. Free Wifi was available but kept dropping out.

Bet B, I am very disappointed you left us with this level of dissatisfaction. It is not typical in any way and I can absolutely confirm to anyone reading your review (and as proven in the many other excellent reviews we have) our rooms are far from "filthy". All of our linen is completely changed before new guests arrive, our... More
