My wife and I had the pleasure of staying with Alison and Julian at the end of August. They absolutely made our brief two night stay. They are welcoming, friendly and nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. Julian even helped to ensure our walking boots got a proper drying out after the drenching they received on the...

My husband and I have just returned home from a 2 night break in Glan y Dwr and I cannot express how perfect our stay was. A beautiful house, great hosts (thank you Julian and Alison), a lovely comfortable room and a very hearty breakfast made with local produce. I have only 1 complaint .... that we couldn't stay longer!

If you ever get the chance to stay here you will understand why it is 100% excellent. I particularly enjoyed the communal breakfast, such a good way to meet new friends. Wonderful food in the town too, perfect place for a short break.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at Glan Y Dwr and it was perfect in every way. Usually when you stay in a B&B or hotel there is at least one thing that you think could be improved but in this case it really was all excellent. Julian and Alison are lovely hosts, very welcoming and accommodating,...

We very much enjoyed our stay here and were made to feel most welcome by the lovely Julian & Alison. They were both very attentive whilst remaining friendly and happy to chat. Our room was very comfortable and...

My husband and I had the good fortune to stay at Glan Y Dwr for three nights in September. It was our home base while we hiked & rode horses in the beautiful park. We also enjoyed exploring the village of Crickhowell and the surrounding countryside. Alison and Julian are lovely and gracious hosts who have thought of everthing possible...

My daughter and I stayed for 6 nights at Glan Y Dwr, and we were so fortunate to have found Glan Y Dwr for our accommodations. Some of the many positives: - Very spacious bedroom (ours was Skyrrid), beautifully decorated, and what a gem of a bathroom. We had plenty fo space to spread out and be comfortable. No issues...

Alison and Julien were wonderful hosts providing everything we needed in a beautifully decorated and comfortable room with a flat screen TV and plenty of space. We had a large well-fitted ensuite and were provided all sorts of extra goodies such as shavers, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion etc. On arrival, Julian offered to help with our bags and then we...

We stayed for two nights and were utterly spoilt by Julian and Alison the whole time. The rooms are delightfully quaint and full of character and the breakfast in the morning was more than one could expect. The hosts take service to another level and we would definitely stay again if we were in the area. True value for money.

We recently visited Crickhowell. Our hosts reserved us a room for two nights at the Glan y Dwr. I had never stayed at a B&B and had no I idea what to expect. I was most pleasantly surprised! The home was beautifully decorated, the hosts were most gracious, and the food was excellent. I was surprised to find out that...
