Highly recommended. Property refurbished completely 18 months ago. The staircase & carpeting were very impressive, & our room overlooking the main road and fields was lovely. We had a warm welcome from Jo, and the breakfast was excellent. Overall- great value for money. Only 5 mins walk from Builth's main high St where there are pubs and restaurants. Only problem... This place saved our bacon on a Saturday night after we had lost a room elsewhere due to my scheduling goof. Snagged a room after the Cedars had a last-minute cancellation. Our room was on the top floor--very small, tiny en-suite bathroom, but it looked great to us and served the purpose. Was clean, wi-fi worked fine. Breakfast the next... More

Myself and my partner stayed here whilst we were working at the Royal Welsh show. The room was very clean and comfortable but a little on the small side but it didn't really bother us as all we wanted to do was sleep after a hard day trading at the show. The beds were lovely and comfy. We were really... More

stayed here on a motorcycle tour, rooms clean and tidy, top marks to our host Jo as nothing was to much trouble, good breakfast, off road parking and taking into account what we paid it was great value, only a short walk to the town centre.

Nice clean B&B that is in need of some decoration and gardening. Pleasant owners made us very welcome once we could get in the door ! Arrived an hour before check in and rang the bell for assistance as the sign stated and this was unanswered twice. We had travelled down from Manchester and just wanted to use the facilities... Staying at the Cedars is a good value experience. Rooms are clean and warm and well presented. The owners are very friendly and helpful and breakfast was excellent. They also took the trouble to help with us finding a good evening meal (The Greyhound). Rooms are quite small and have some dated features although efforts have been made to modernise... More

I booked following TA star rating. Previous reviews put me on my guard but we arrived on speck. We received a warm welcome from Jo and was shown the only available room which was not large but we are not 6'0 or 20 stone. For our one night, the room offered all we wanted. Comfortable and large enough. Jo explained... More

I stayed at this guesthouse a few years ago but was put off using it again by the very steep stairs. The guest house has recently come under new management and they have improved the stairs immensely....replacing the top flights completely and removing the steepness. Now the guesthouse is lovely. They have redecorated, and the beds are newer and comfortable.... More

I would thoroughly recommend this lovely guesthouse. Really easy to find, great parking, comfy and very clean and tidy room with everything you need. With a very warm and friendly hostess and host. Breakfast was lovely and loads of choice, brilliant for veggies. It was also extra frosty this morning and Jo ever so kindly defrosted my windows on my car!... More

Booked short notice not knowing where to stay or what to expect. Can honestly say we weren't disappointed. From the minute we arrived we were made to feel really welcome, nothing was too much trouble. Facilities are more than ample the family 3 bed, room is huge with en-suite shower all spotlessly clean and neutral decor. The full English is... More
