A last minute cycling break in Wales and on arriving at the Hotel we received the warmest of welcomes closely followed by a pot of tea and cake! Peter (the owner) was a great host and housed our bikes safely inside as well as carried our bags to our room. Dinner at this place is always fantastic and Peter didn't... More

As a cyclist, this was the very best place I have stayed. The food and room were excellent. Nearby are the most most beautiful Welsh hills and countryside. The food is of the highest standard, as is the service. After a day's riding I felt the warmest of welcome. This included safe storage of my bike within the building! I... More

What an amazing surprise, the owner and staff very friendly as you would image. Once inside your eyes feast on the awards and décor of this beautiful restaurant. A special lunch turned into an amazing meal with added extras. A wide choice of menu, and I have to say you can see why there are so many awards for this... More

Cycling club stayed here recently and couldn't have been made more welcome by Peter, the owner. Rooms were clean and tidy and the food both at dinner and breakfast was fantastic. Excellent facilities for the bikes with safe storage and even a pump and a few supplies to make any repairs needed.

We stayed here on a cycling weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. Peter the owner made us feel very welcome, with tea and cake on arrival. We were given bike storage within the building downstairs. The rooms were spotless, well equipped and very comfortable. The food in the evening was fantastic and great value, breakfast was superb too. I'll definitely be... More

This place absolutely exceeded our expectations. We booked a last minute trip to a hotel up the road, and wanted to venture out for food. This was one of the few places serving food late in this small village so we went here more out of necessity than choice. When we walked in the staff were very welcoming. The place... More

I stayed for two nights with a few friends and we all had a wonderful time. Peter was the best host you could ever hope for. The location is very picturesque, the rooms are very homely and the restaurant, bar and decking beside the river are all wonderful. I will definitely visit again. Hopefully soon!

I recently spent 4 nights 'glamping' at Drovers Rest with my wife, two daughters and our dog - the Drovers Rest provided the perfect holiday for all 5 of us! I've always been into traditional camping but the girls are too young and my wife likes the idea of camping but also likes her creature comforts - glamping was the... More

We stopped here to enjoy lunch looking over the river and it is such a great find! The staff were very friendly and the food quality and choice amazing. We enjoyed the short burst of sunshine overlooking the river and the hills behind - beautiful view! A must for lunch if you are visiting Llanwrtyd Wells!

We ate at the Drovers last night as part of a 50th birthday celebration. The restaurant looked so welcoming from the outside with low lighting and beautifully laid tables. The meal we had was unbelievably good. All home made, skilfully presented and plenty of it. The waiting staff were excellent. All in all, a lovely evening out, we really enjoyed... More
