My wife and I visited Wales for the first time in early June, and we were lucky enough to land at the Caernant B&B. Hildreth and her husband were great hosts, and after spending 2 days in and around Cardigan and Aberystwyth, we were sad to leave our new friends. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and quiet, and the breakfasts... More

We've just come back from a friends wedding in Cardigan and stayed at Caernant for 3 nights. We felt so welcomed from the moment we arrived, much later than expected in the evening, after a nearly 6-hour journey fraught with traffic delays. The en suite room is lovely, comfortable, very clean, quiet and overlooks the green fields. Everything is provided... More

We very much enjoyed our stay at Caernant B & B. We were made to feel very welcome in Hildreth's home. We had a fresh pot of tea and cakes on our arrival, which was really nice after a day spent travelling. It's about a 15-20 minute walk to the town centre, so the property is in a good location,... We were travelling around West Wales and decided to stay with Hildreth and Wynford for one night, but wish it had been more. What a wonderful couple, and their home can only be described as perfect in every way. Nothing was too much trouble, we had the front room overlooking the drive. the room was spotless, and large enough for... More

We were warmly welcomed into Hildreth's home as though we were old friends. On arrival we were taken up to our rooms, our son and his wife and 4mth old had the larger bedroom at the front of the house and my husband and I had the smaller room at the back (which I preferred), the view out over the countryside... We have just returned from a weekend in Wales at the caernant bed and breakfast and it was fantastic Hildreth is such a wonderful host and all round lovely lady. We stayed with my in laws and our 4 month old baby son, I was worried about staying in a b&b as he is so young and was concerned he... More

Incredibly warm welcome, lemon drizzle cake waiting for us in our room. Nothing was ever too much trouble, quick lift into town was no problem for Hildreth. Cooked breakfast was something else, literally spoiled for choice, healthy options were available but it was extremely difficlut to overlook sheer quality of traditional full 'English'. Would recommend without question, personal and professional,... More

What a fantastic find! The hospitality was truly amazing; a cup of tea and a scone on arrival, wonderful cooked breakfasts and nothing too much trouble. The room and en-suite were spacious and spotless. Excellent value for money - would highly recommend.

We received a wonderful warm Welsh welcome from Hildreth. Nothing was too much trouble. Though a business, family touches were very evident here. The homemade Bara Brith was delicious! Walking sticks were kindly provided for hilly walks. The breakfasts were generous, with a very good variety of cooked food to choose from, as well as fruit, cereals, yogurt, juice etc.... More

When we arrived at Caernant I thought it would be like staying in a room in someone's house but my experience was much better than this. Hildreth was extremely polite, accommodating and friendly, without being invasive. The rooms were very clean and the en-suites were of a good standard. The bed was lovely and comfy and our room had a... More
