Enjoyed our stay at Argyll hotel Ullapool. Beautiful surroundings, pieceful and quiet hotel. Staff that looked after us were very friendly and caring. Dinner that is served there was absolutely amazing, beautifuly presented and tasted great. Would recommend. Thank you.

I'm not going to waste time beating around the bush, this place is the worst establishment I have ever stayed at out of more than 300 in the past 15 years of business travel. I rarely write reviews as I don't have the time, however this place is exceptional, for the wrong reasons. The electrics in the room were dangerous.... More

When we arrived unlike other guests (read reviews here) we were not offered assistance with our luggage up the two flights of stairs. we were shown to our basic room, which is find as we paid basic price for B&B. Dinner was being served 6-8 and was quite nice, I had the fish and chips, when we ordered food the... More

The room we stayed in was very clean but in desperate need of some moderisation. However, we absolutely loved our stay here. The staff were great, as was the ale and there is something going on most nights. We stayed on a Monday night, which is an open mic style folk night, which seemed to be very popular with the... I booked and paid for a room for three nights while my friend Paul did charity work in Stornoway. He has one leg, uses crutches and suffers from multiple health problems - which show in his deeply sallow face. On the second morning Paul told me he was ill, must return home and would be on the 10.30 ferry for... More

Popped into the hotel on Monday night whilst staying in Ullapool. A fabulous night where local singers and musicians provided some high quality entertainment. The local choir and the young lad performing Ed Sheeran songs were particularly impressive but everyone gave a really good go and we had a fabulous night.

We arrived and were welcomed to the establishment and the member of staff took our case to our room. The commonunal areas of the hotel are scruffy and in need of a deep clean or redecoration. The room was small and the bathroom was small and dated. We had a meal in the resturant which was fine and breakfast in... More

Having just read some of the nit-picking reviews about the Argyll the best advice i could give is to go and make your own mind up. How a hotel can be judged on the price of a bowl of soup I don't know but we stayed for two nights and wouldn't hesitate to go back. A true traveller will take... More

Upon arrival I had to search for someone to book us in. No help was offered with our baggage and again I had to seek out help. The room itself was fine but overpriced for what it was. The establishment felt more like a pub with rooms rather than a hotel as the noise from people outside smoking/ chatting went... More
