Less than an hour from home so I have never stayed overnight in Ullapool other than in a caravan.... Centrally located hotel with limited parking( free parking in village anyway). Twin room at £80 for b&b. We were welcomed and offered help with our bags. Dated interior throughout but our room although basic was clean. We chose to eat out... More

We visited this hotel in march 2014 and always said we'd be back in the summertime ...nothing much has changed with this hotel but we always knew what we were getting. It's still accommodating, rooms clean tidy and food reasonable....my only slight criticism was breakfast was slightly disorganised the first morning, we were seated but not offered tea/coffee etc but... I stayed at this hotel for 1 night with my husband and another couple on 14th July. The rooms we were allocated are without a doubt the worst we have experienced. We complained straight away at reception and they told us they would clean the bathrooms and change 1 of the mattresses. We were never offered another room, supposedly the... More

The Caledonian Hotel is a nice place to stop over. It has a modern entrance with a large lounge and reception. Rooms are nice. Food is lovely with a menu of variety to choose from. Would recommend one night eating out in the Ceilidh place. Close to the boat that reaches out to the Outer Hebrides.

We stayed one night and as others have said previously this hotel needs updating. Very basic and scruffy. The decor is outdated and tired. The locatio of the hotel is great and the buffet breakfast was good value. Would I stay here again? Probably not.

Stayed here after walking in the nearby mountains for one night. Hotel is very dated and is undergoing a refurbishment. Despite this at £53 for a double room I would stay again as it beats camping or staying in a bothy.

I stayed in a single room for £25 for one night which was excellent value for money. However, the room was below basic expectations. No cup for my tea, no biscuit, no milk, no mini shampoo or body gels, no wash cup at the sink. I'm glad I had my own body wash as to my horror there was a... More

Travelling in a group of three ,we were able to book three single rooms with en suite although the rooms and hotel could do with a bit of TLC the value for money is excellent . plenty of parking, and right in the heart of this pretty fishing village. The breakfast was buffet style and very good the staff were... More

Very limited parking space, not a senior from the receptionist, very dated décor, unclean room & en suite. About the the only positive thing I can say about it is it's certainly located in Ullapool. Fine if you have no other choice.

Stayed one night on a motorcycle tour. Room was a bit cramped and dated but comfortable enough. Just about enough room for two but we were tripping over all the soaking wet bike gear as it dried out. As others have said, this place is a bit dated. There was noise from other residents as they loved through the corridor... More
