We arrived early in Ullapool for the ferry, it was lovely walking into this place and having a table by the amazing fire - it was extremely cold and blustery outside. Young staff, most of whom were very friendly, we really enjoyed our burgers, drinks, tea and cake. Really like this place, especially as it is spacious and tables are...

We have stayed a few times in the Ceilidh Place over the years and the experience just gets better each time. The hotel itself is very comfortable; as opposed to luxurious and aloof it is a good place to stay and linger with a book and a drink. The residents' lounge is always well frequented and on a sunny warm...

Having travelled over specially for a Sunday Brunch to one of our favourite eateries we were disappointed that having asked for eggs to be added to our Maple pancake stack it appeared that this was too much for the kitchen team. The waiting staff were very friendly and apologetic but appeared to be intimidated by the kitchen.

This was a special birthday occasion and so we were willing to spend the bit extra that a room at the Ceilidh Place costs - and it was definitely worth it. The comfort of a good hotel without the monotony of look-alike rooms and ok food. Our room was lovely with enough space for two desks/writing areas and the lounge...

We only used the coffee shop where the decor and furniture could do with a good spruce up. The staff were perhaps a little end of season jaded. However, the food was excellent, and the Rabbit and Bean soup was superb!!

An Ullapool institution with great coffee and cakes, papers to read and a bookshop attached with a great range of local authors as well as best sellers. You can take a book and go and browse it in the cafe! Hotel rooms as well and a full restaurant attached. Even individual towels at the hand basins in the loos! A must...

A mix of private hotel meets friendly bar/dining room/ bookshop this is a real find. Service was particularly professional and friendly, rooms were cosy and comfortable and the Lounge where you can grab a coffee or drink from the Honesty Bar is lovely. All wood beams and comfortable, oldy worldy furniture. We particularly liked the suggestions for local activities and...

Excellent pub area. Totally dog friendly, Staff very good, helpful and seemed happy to serve. The chips were excellent. Much appreciated to soak up the beer. Serving them in a warm bowl was a good idea. The restaurant was fully booked. The menu was very tempting though. Shame we were travelling on the next day

Just a fantastic venue, set in a beautiful location, overlooking Loch Broom. Great atmosphere, food and staff, with lovely accommodation, combined with entertainment and a bookshop, make this a clear winner when in Ullapool.

Ullapool is a busy hub on the west coast, and so rooms are at a premium along with the price. when we were looking to book Ullapool accommodation (for August) in the preceding May, we were having difficulty in finding something for the night we required (a Friday); Ceilidh Place advised they had one room / shared (between 3 rooms)...
