A well kept older building, room area clean, decent size for a one bedroom. Balcony overlooked the nicely manicured garden and pool area, ocean view just slightly beyond. An airport from a very busy airport is just 300 yards away. 20 small planes fly in daily. about 6 huge plans fly in daily. Departures of plans also. When the large...

This place has a restaurant near their pool that is good. It's a good choice to get away from hectic Maho Beach and have a nice lunch. The food and service were very nice, and it's a good place to watch the airplanes go over the beach. The only downside is there is no WiFi.

I stayed at the Royal Islander for a short stay for the last 5 days of Carnival, as I usually stay at Simpson. It is located 5 minutes from the airport so if noise is a problem for you don’t stay here because you can hear the planes loud and clear both landing and takeoff. The place is clean with...

We visited this hotel in February! We've been here many times and when we return it's just as beautiful. The hotel is located in Maho. It has a large pool and restaurant/ bar and the beach is steps below. From your seat at the pool, you can watch planes arriving and landing! This is not a noisy thing , but...

We upgraded and bought 2 more weeks. I love this place. We have made so many friends here and return every year for the last 25 years, Staff are excellent from front desk to maintenance and security. We own in weeks 14, 15, and 16. Everything is convenient from dining, shopping, and casino.

Fun convenient hotel on the Dutch side of the island. Close to casinos, restaurants. It's an informal family friendly place. It's by the airport so you can stand by the fence at the end of the runway for added excitement. There is shopping within walking distance. The units have full kitchens and the beautiful pool overlooks the beach.

First time staying here. We were in rooms 4204/4205. Our rooms were very clean and had everything you needed. This resort is right next to the airport but for us was not a problem. The pool and beach areas are very nice and well maintained. Plenty of restaurants in the area so you could eat somewhere different everyday and all...

The Royal Islander was built in 1986...and literally hasn't been updated since. If Vintage '80s architecture, style, and ambiance is your thing, than this is the place for you. The entire property feels dated and old. Speaking of old, the overwhelming majority of guests (80%) are 65yo+ in age. There were a plethora of canes, walkers and wheelchairs throughout the...

Love this place have going for years, yes it needs to be updated but I'm always very comfortable here. Clean rooms and property always well maintained. Close to restarants and casino right across street. Watch planes land from beach.

We have two timeshares in this place and we LOVE it. We love the island, the food, the people, and the amazing views. We could change it up and go somewhere else, but we choose St. Martin EVERY SINGLE YEAR, and so it will be for a looooong time!
