A hidden gem in a beautiful Border town. Well run establishment with congenial owner Robin. Atmospheric rooms with lovely dining room and comprehensive breakfast. Will return as best accommodation for the price in town and puts more expensive hotels to shame.

I stayed at The Old Priory as I had to attend a wedding nearby. The hosts were absolutely lovely, the room was spacious and the breakfast very tasty. There was an impressive selection of fruit teas, as well! You will have an excellent night's sleep, as there are really good blinds on the windows that make the room completely dark... More

If you want a clean, homely B&B that oozes class and character then look no further. Whe ther it's the high-quality bedding, period furniture, magnificent conservatory or impressive range of breakfast fayre, you will struggle to find their equal for a more than reasonable price. Seven times have I visited Kelso, seven times have I stayed at The Old Priory and I would not consider... More

Stayed with friends for the weekend. Lovely clean rooms full of character with comfy beds. Robin is an excellent host and together with his family ensure a wonderful warm welcome. Full Scottish breakfast is unmissable. We have already booked another stay.

We stayed here for one night in October while walking the Borders Abbey Trail. Robin was super friendly and our room very comfortable and warm – just what we needed after a 17 mile walk. We had a fantastic sleep and breakfast in the morning was delicious. We will certainly come back again when walking around the beautiful Borders. Thanks loads,... More

Wasn't our first choice, but will be in the future. The host was very frirndly. We had beautiful accommodation, period rooms, very comfortable king size bed, lovely food for breakfast. Two areas to relax in. Very clean. A couple of micro breweries locally.

My husband had been visiting Kelso to fish for many years and stayed each time in Ednam House. My daughter and I decided to join him this time and chose Tripadvisor to choose our accomodation. The Old Priory lived up to our expectations. The location in the heart of the town suited us very well and so did the size... More

Delightful guesthouse superbly located in the centre of Kelso. Great welcome from the excellent (and often hilarious!) Robin and family. Room charming with huge comfortable bed and anything you could want, better than a 5* hotel in our opinion and a fraction of the cost. Breakfast huge and delicious but with choices for the smaller eater. Lovely garden and sitting... More

Robin made us feel welcome from the moment we parked the car. Our room was spacious, well decorated & clean. Facilites were provided to make tea, coffee etc also glasses for when we fancied a nightcap. The beds were very comfortable & we slept well every night of our stay. Breakfast was always delicious with plenty of variety - 10... More

We spent four enjoyable nights in The Old Priory and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was very, very spacious and the beds unbelievably comfortable. Robin had installed silk duvets which are an inspiration because they provide individual body temperature regulation - something we would not have believed until we experienced it! We probably had the best nights sleep we... More
