On a recent trip to Scotland, we had the pleasure of being hosted at Bellvue House in Kelso. The guest house is charming! Located right in town, everything is within walking distance. Kelso has a wonderful small-town appeal. The hosts were gracious and were very attentive. As first-timers to Scotland, Hilary and Graham gave us loads of information about the... More

Decent sized, but over furnished room. Poor showers and useless lighting for putting makeup etc. Our Booking.com only included continental breakfast, but there was only cereal etc on offe. One flavour of yogurt and no fresh fruit aside from apples and bananas. No pastries, ham or cheese etc, no not sure about the description. Generally, I'd say it was needing... More

We visited as a couple during the Coast & Castles cycle ride. Great breakfast and comfortable room and staff were very helpful - we appreciated the advice on what to see and where to eat. Cycles were placed in secure storage overnight. We would recommend for cyclists passing through.

We had a very warm welcome and Keith was a fund of helpful information about good walks and places to eat, he even drew on a local map to show us where they were! The room was lovely, with brilliant facilities including lots of tea, coffee and biscuits and toiletries. Great choice at breakfast and we enjoyed meeting the dogs... More

I was working in the area for a month and I stayed here during the week. Very friendly and helpful. Graham got up early and made my breakfast and prepared a packed lunch for me also. Couldn't of been happier. Would recommend and will definitely be back.

We were in room 4 it was very small and cramped I felt it was not good value for money. There was a large add on/cupboard which contained a shower and toilet the sink was in the bedroom itself which I felt was very unhygienic although the breakfast was tasty and Hillary was very nice.

The hotel we normally stay at started to charge for our dogs so we looked somewhere else. The Bellevue was excellent. Very welcoming and comfortable and a superb breakfast. We were told of several good dog walks, all were very convenient. This will be our new regular base for Kelso.

Last minute break with the dog. The hosts were more than accommodating but not intrusive. Lovely Scottish breakfast with local produce and cooked freshly from order. Lovely. Excellent location too. Not far away from the town, which is quiet but has all you need.

This very friendly and flexible owner-run guesthouse has excellent accommodation and a delicious breakfast. It's near the pretty town square and a five minute walk from the majestic River Tweed. Highly recommended!

Friendly welcome. Room was nice and clean, beds traditional style and high off the ground. Tea and coffee facilities and flat screen TV. Shower room was a bit small. Bed was very comfortable. Good traditional Scottish breakfast with all food sourced locally. Would stay again.
