The rooms are massive, and impressively equipped with traditional materials. Tranquil location, beautiful food. Stunning location perched on a hill , setback from the country road. Brilliant value for money. Gorgeous well presented huge traditional garden to the rear, with Aberdeen Angus in the fields to the front. The location is only a few minutes from the main town of... Set in beautiful gardens this is an ideal relaxing retreat in the Borders. Minutes away from Kelso but surrounded by countryside views you will recharge your batteries here no problem. Owner Christine is most welcoming, knows all the best places to eat of an evening and her breakfasts are superb.

A beautiful old house oozing with character in a superb setting. We had a huge en-suite room at the front of the house overlooking the fields. Christina welcomed us and we soon joined by Belle (the terrier) and Denzil (an enormous black cat). We intended to leave very early the following morning but thank goodness we didnt, otherwise we would... More

Holiday week-end break with family (7 of us in total ). Having ignored advice and being mis-directed by navigation system eventually arrived at destination. Given great welcome by Christine and shown rooms. As noted in previous reviews large clean rooms, comfortable beds and en suite or individual bath or shower rooms. Unique ambience comprising combination of period furnishings and modern... More

I recently spent a few days at Edenbank House in Kelso. Superb, quality accomodation, fabulous food and a wonderful hostess. I have stayed here many times and Edenbank just gets better and better. The unique shopping experience of Kelso's independent shops is a joy to behold. From the haggis at Wylie's butchers to the range of shoes available at Rogersons.... More

A fabulous country welcome from the Landlady Christine was much appreciated following a long journey. The room was tastefully decorated and full of charm, with lovely views of the fabulous garden....a true delight and in splendid full bloom. The ambience was warm and friendly....a truly relaxing time was had and much needed. I would recommend Edenbank to the discerning traveller... More

We both have very mixed feelings about our stay at Edenbank. The welcome was great - arriving in a group of Austin Sevens on a long run up to Kelso. The building is in excellent condition and has a comfortable feeling of faded elegance. The location is out of town - completely silent and very dark at night - ideal... More

Lovely stay over weekend with Christina, Belle & Denzil at Edenbank. Well looked after and made so welcome. Really glad bathroom had such a lovely big bath to soak the aching limbs after riding on Saturday. A great trip. Booked up again for next year already.

I really don't know why people want to stay in big hotels when there are places to stay such as Edenbank in Kelso. It's so quiet, set in acres of gardens and farmland, with no passing traffic, you'll need to take an alarm clock to wake you in the morning? We were met by Christina who warmly greeted us and...
