As we were driving to the hotel, the sun was setting and all you could see were the lights at the Clachaig Inn, nestled within the mountains. The view was picturesque. We stayed in one of the cabins which was very cute and rustic. Nothing fancy with the decor but the room had all the comforts for an enjoyable stay. We were able to see the sunrise from our room the next morning which was a treat. We had dinner in the bar and the food was excellent. I had the vegetarian haggis and my husband had a curry rice dish, both were delicious. Their beer and whiskey selection was extensive and the bar staff was very helpful with selecting the right whiskey. The Reception and Bar staff were very friendly and made us feel right at home. A great place to stay during your visit to the highlands of Scotland.

Been a customer for years and I love it...... Recently took a friend and his response was '100's of bars around the country try to replicate this and this is the real thing! Out of nowhere in the darkness here it is....'

This place offers nice food and has a reasonable choice of dishes. Quick service. Staff are really nice and aim to please. Quite a dark and windy road to get there but worth the visit. Also dog friendly.

Wow! What a wonderful lunch time menu and an excellent variety of food cooked well. Really liked it. It had been recommended by a friend who often eats there and she was right! It is in a tucked away little spot but not hard to find and one really does feel as if one is in the middle of nowhere. I wish there were more places with such a good menu. Nothing to fault.

Although in a lovely setting, I can't recommend Clachaig Inn. Our room was like something from a roadside motel in 1955. Dark, dingy, cramped, outdated. And it's EXPENSIVE - we spent nearly $200 for one night. Expect to be completely off the grid. There's no cellphone service in the valley. And the hotel's WiFi absolutely does not work, no matter where you go in the facility. They advertise WiFi, but it quite simply doesn't work. Ever. Our room was above one of the restaurants, so when we went to bed we could hear tables being moved around, restaurant chatter, and what I think was a loud hand dryer in one of the bathrooms below us. Luckily, we had only one night here, so we survived, helped no doubt by the fact that they have TWO distinct pubs on the property. There's an excellent selection of beers on tap, as well as whiskeys. The pub food was just fine. Everyone on staff was very nice and helpful. Glencoe has great hiking and scenery. But find someplace else to stay.
