Had a lovely stay at the fern villa this weekend. David is a lovely guy and made us feel very welcome. Room was small but did everything you a need a short stay room to do. Breakfast was fantastic. Would recommend and will definately stay there again.

The room was on the small side but we'd been alerted to this when booking so no complaints. The owner was super friendly and very welcoming. The breakfast was really well cooked and presented. For just £50 for the room for two in the summer season this represents great value for money.

The best breakfast of our entire trip around Scotland (especially David's kippers); pleasant host and hostess; a small room (ground floor) but completely as described, so not a disappointment and with good storage; the floor show provided by the bird feeders made up for the lack of a view; lovely fluffy towels and other home comforts; great value for money....

We stayed for one night at Fern Villa on the way for a week long stay further North.....and wish we could have stayed longer! The house is lovely as are the hosts Catherine & David who were very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable about the local area and beyond. I was little skeptical but guest house was nice, we had a twin-room, may be you might find it small like any other guest house as it is not a hotel we were ok with that. We expected to be like that for the price and moreover for a guest house. They even had an extension chord that was nice...

We had a great 2 days in Fern Villa Guest House. Catherine and David made our stay very enjoyable. The room was clean and fresh. Breakfast was perfect. Catherine and David were most certainly THE PERFECT HOST AND HOSTESS. Ballachulish in general was clean and the people friendly and helpful. We would certainly go back.

If your looking for hosts who go the extra mile, i can say David did. There were 8 of us staying there 2 nights while completing Marie Curies Mountain Challenge. David was up making breakfast for us at 6.15 and was there when returned exhausted and un fed. David rang around to find some where that would make us food,...

Although this was not what we expected (we were expecting a higher level of accommodation) our hosts were very nice. The restaurant nearby (pub) not fantastic (pub food of course) but ok. Hence, a nice place to stay in Glencoe.
