I would gladly have given this lovely pub, set in beautiful surroundings a much higher mark, but cannot, solely due to the total mishandling of my complaint. Our group - including regulars of this pub - were generally happy with their meals. I ordered lamb for my main course. It was completely inedible - literally the toughest meat I've ever... More

We went for the ballet under the stars event just recently held and found our way to this little, charming pub which rents a few modern rooms on the upper floor. The room was quiet in the evening and the pub serves great food, which was a bonus. The bed was like sleeping on a pillow but had enough support,... More

A childhood chum and myself, stopped for Sunday lunch here yesterday and it was an absolute delight. The staff were extremely hospitable and the roast pork belly was superb. The gravy was to die for...... I can't recommend this enough - well done!

We visited with a group of friends. The rooms were all well appointed, ours was quite small, but comfortable. We all commented that s little more hanging space would be preferable. We ate in for the 2 nights. We were seated alone in the library making it seem very much like our own home which we all loved. The staff... More

We met friends here who had travelled from Canada and had a very acceptable lunch here. Nice gardens and tables outdoors. Well worth a visit if you're in the area. Don't really know what else to say, just try it!

Having been several times, mainly at lunchtime, the 3 of us booked for an evening meal. The bar staff were excellent, as was the waitress who took our orders. First course was very good, together with an Argentinian Cab Sav/Merlot/Malbec which was fine. That's were it started to go wrong. The 2 rump steaks were requested as medium rare but... More

Stayed in Room 7, the largest room with a free standing bath in the bedroom and a small shower room. Comfortable bed and nice touches like welcome brownies and little bottles of milk outside the door in the morning. We were given breakfast in a lovely sunny bay window in the lounge. It looked like the kind of cosy place... More

Came here with a family group for a birthday dinner. The Beckford Arms is in a beautiful setting in rural Wiltshire but only a short drive from the A303. The extensive selection of craft ales and gins was a most promising start and the meal did not disappoint. All the courses were excellent and we tried a good selection of... More

We'd been to see Stonehenge and headed to Bath.... They took in 9 cold, wet travelers (we had booked in advance) and treated us to a cozy dining room table laden with silver and ambiance and a very friendly staff... The food was excellent and the atmosphere amazing! The sports attire collections on the wall was a treat! As were... More

We were welcomed warmly by the manager who promptly showed us to our very clean room. Medium sized and nicely furnished, no wardrobe but hanging hooks only which suited us just for a night. The bathroom had a lovely range of cosmetics. Great to find ground coffee available on the room tray and fresh milk at the bedroom door for... More
