This beautiful cottage lies a 15 minute walk across lovely countryside from Lacock. James and Tilly were lovely hosts and our room very comfortable, slept like a log. There are 3 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms so although not en suite, perfectly adequate. The breakfast was scrumptious. Will certainly try to go back for a longer visit as it is perfectly... More

From the moment we arrived Dilly and James could not have been more friendly. This is a beautiful gem of a cottage in the idyllic Wiltshire countryside. The rooms were comfortable and the service was great. A fabulous breakfast was served in the morning. The star of the show was the little sausage dog, called Fred. He was adorable. The... More

Quintessentially English cottage and surrounding area! We (me, husband and 5 year old daughter) stayed here for 3 nights and the hosts were wonderful. We explored Lacock village (only 10 min walk) and surrounding area (day trip to Bath). Breakfast was great. Room was very spacious for the 3 of us.

Our family spent a lovely night with Dilly, the wonderful hostess in this cosy Bed and Breakfast. The rooms are comfy and beautifully decorated. The breakfast was vast - you wouldn't need to eat again all day! Go, rest, enjoy.

I spent a wonderful weekend at Damson Cottage for a weekend in July with my husband and six year-old son and my best friend and her husband and children. We all wished we could have stayed much longer. The (large!) cottage is dreamy - a perfect, English country retreat, beautiful rooms and the best and most generous breakfast I've ever... More

Just stayed one night well visiting old friends. The owners made a special effort to get me checked in early so i didnt miss out too. This is the style of b&b where you are made to feel like you are guest in the spare room which is always nice. Room was great, clean and tidy and well equipped. Bathroom... More

Great rural B&B greeted by Dilly as we arrived early. She advised we could leave our vehicle there and take the 10 minute walk to the village for lunch and to see the Abbey. Room spacious, was provided with an converter plug and received a full English breakfast. Dilly was on great assistance on the options available in Lacock for... More

we stayed for one night (unfortunately). The couple running the place made us feel at ease and we had a great time. I can recommend it (without any trace of doubt) for all those who are searching for a place to stay nearby, even if it's for just one night as we did.

Stayed here for one night on Tuesday 8th July 2014, so I could catch up with my friend that lives and works in Chippenham. Booked in the day before, was pleasantly surprised how nice the cottage and the surroundings were. Dilly & James were very accomodating and I enjoyed a nice breakfast before returning home via the Cotswolds. Will definitely... More
