Went in early December to celebrate a friends birthday. The food was cooked a lot of the meals components were either frozen or tinned,I had the beer battered fish and chips with mushy peas, the chips were oven chips and the peas were out of a tin the fish was overcooked at one end which leads me to believe that it...

was given a warm enthusiastic welcome which was nice but felt like we were being treated as potential friends rather than guests to impress. We were given a choice of rooms on the ground floor, we enquired if the rooms were free upstairs but were told they weren't but they were empty because " the housekeeping staff didn't like cleaning...

Visited for Sunday lunch and werent dissappointed, the carvery was superb, and very reasonably priced. The turkey especially was tender and very tasty, however the pork wasnr far behind. The vegetables accompanying the meat were top notch, and the staff were extremely friendly and made sure you had a great time (even bringing around plenty of extra crackling to our...

We arrived after midnight and the staff were not fazed at all and made us feel at home. It was easy to find and there was good parking. Breakfast was good and staff were knowledgeable about the local area

We visited the hotel for lunch after a family event in Craven Arms, and as soon as we entered the restaurant the problems began. There were 12 of us eating and we were put on three round tables instead of a long table for all of us, this was surprising as they had plenty of square tables that could have...

The staff in the hotel are pleasant but the double room was really average with zero sound insulation from the corridor and the creaks of people passing were loud enough to disturb sleep. The carpets on the stair are dirty as is the carpet at the foot of the stairway. The refurbishment is not evidence in the bathroom where the...

We stayed for just one night to explore parts of Shropshire. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Bright, spacious, fresh and spotlessly clean room with everything you would require. The evening meal was cooked to perection (fish and chips for me lasagne for my wife) with very generous helpings plus great deserts. Breakfast cooked to order and delicious. Very well situated...

Situated on a busy main road, we thought it would be noisy at night but it is not. The road has very little evening and night traffic and the position of the rooms meant that even with both windows open, we didn't hear traffic noise. At check in, the staff were very helpful and welcoming. The room was fine: large,...
